Sponsorship Changes for 2026!

While I must say I deeply appreciate his intel in Nike upcoming seasons' offerings which is way more than accurate, his track records in pro players switching sponsorships are not that great. And the (fake) news of Emma leaving Nike for Uniqlo from him was actually not the first time......

But I must say, pro players exploring new sponsorships is nothing new. It may be true that Ben Shelton is flirting with Nike, even though his contract so far with ON should still be in the early stage (i.e. 3 years as far as I remember)

That did not age well.

Someone said Emma leaving Nike was "fake news." This comment did not age well, as it was eventually true.
You're actually replying to the person who broke the news! I think you meant to quote the comment, because it does look like you were the one who was saying it by typing it outside of the quoted text.

Wild because I find none of their shoes to be vapor-ish.
Maybe the solution speed because it is their speed shoe but at least the V2, I did not like how it rocked my feet forward.
The solution speed V3 and the current V4 are very different from the V1 and V2. They revamp the line since V3 which is not extremely different from say Vapor Pro 1 or Vapor X

Yeah i think I missed out because the V3 looked good but the V4 somehow look slightly bulkier.
I may have to try them anyway

Been thinking about the Shelton to Nike switch, in my mind it works, he replaces Tiafoe as the next Tank top wearer and he’s still young. Would they dare put him in the Hypersmash 12’s?

How does he get out of the ON deal? Or is it up? He signed with them exactly two years ago.

Not throwing any shade, but you go to the US Open, and you see the guys in Nike, and there’s 20 guys wearing the same thing, or Adidas, 20 guys wearing the same thing,” he told FOS in an interview this week ahead of the Laver Cup in Berlin.

With On Brand, which has endorsed Shelton since March 2023, “At first it was just me. I was the first active [men’s] tennis player that they signed. Obviously, they had Roger [Federer] with the shoe. … So it’s really special for me. I don’t think many people who work with clothing companies get as much access as On has given me. The ability to kind of grow with the company, I think, is really cool.”

It’s an interesting perspective from a 21-year-old on his first head-to-toe apparel deal, especially considering that his fellow On ambassador Federer spent 24 years as a Nike athlete before his contract ended in 2018 and he went to Uniqlo for apparel and On for shoes.

I wouldn’t like to guess about getting out of a contract, that sounds messy.

My guess is that with it being year two, they would look at the deal, see what is out there and evaluate. Also maybe On don’t think they’re getting their side of the deal? Lots of ifs buts and maybes.

If you stick Shelton into the On app (UK based here) you get just shoes, not great if he’s meant to be one of their big stars.

Very true. Indeed from my perspective, I think it is very sensible for Nike to sign Shelton. But I have difficulty trying to understand why On will let him go who seems to be their biggest active male player. They plan to go all in on the Fonseca hype train? Or Iga can really move their stocks even the male shoes and apparel which I highly doubt?

not a sponsorship change per say, but looks like Cazaux has post injury changed from RPM Blast in his Pure Drive to another string - looks like RPM Hurricane like Shang

Hurricane is so stiff, is he asking for more injuries? Or could it actually be RPM Rough?

He did give Basilashvili a walkover a couple of days ago. Don’t know if it’s because of the elbow again, but if so, he’s in a load of trouble.
That's terrible news. He's such a nice guy in addition to a talented player. I hope he fully recover soon.

Bublik to diadem? His instagram story seems to suggest so
interesting - he seems unhappy with the Aero this year given his results haven't quite continued - still would seem odd to switch now. Buuut, Bublik likes money and if they can make him something and pay him more than Babolat may have offered (or didn't offer) then i could see him going for it

cool - can someone do a compario of his racquet in mid 2025 and recent months? maybe he has been using a blackout PJ of a Diadem, instead of a PA98?!?
what are the tell tale signs between the two (obviously when both are blackout)?
just wondering

babolat aint making the old aero's anymore, big problem for guys who were buying retail and spraying them black.

Unless he gets in a sponsorship of some sort with Babolat, then he’d save some money/efforts on black spray cans. lol
Just can’t see his face on a Babolat placard these days though.

I'm sure if he wanted them even without sponsorship Babolat would be happy enough to sell prostocks to Bublik, i suspect the issue is he probably wants a sponsorship deal so is looking at Diadem given the Axis is fairly similar rather than Babolat not supplying anything (and perhaps the expense of replacing smashed racquets is too high to not be on a deal).

A relatively minor one in the grand scheme of things, but Julian Cash (doubles winner at Wimbledon for those that don’t know) has taken a Toroline sponsorship, interested to see what he has picked for his string of choice

Wow they’re going hard. The Blue one last year and the “Year of the Horse” this year… AND one for RG?
People seem averse to the primarily white, so it makes sense to follow the Wilson model.
They always end up on clearance but I guess someone is buying them.

Just wait until they start doing "noir" cosmetics.....

What is it with Wilson apparel? It almost seems like they´re trying people not being able to tell what brand the players are using.
