Sponsorship Changes for 2026!

What is it with Wilson apparel? It almost seems like they´re trying people not being able to tell what brand the players are using.
I mean there's clearly a "W" on de minaurs shorts.
Also @aus89 beat me to it...Lehecka's kit is very classy. Subtle but they did add the word "wilson" center chest, I'm sure for TV.
Reminds me of like Fed-era Nike stuff.

Not really a change but I just saw on Facebook a Lacoste as showing their top stars in their new kits and Arthur Fils very oddly is holding a 2016 Pure Aero PJ

it looks nice, Lehecka looks nice also, and they don't need to scream their logo around everywhere - it's more vintage styled etc... not trying to be loud and flashy

Thats a ps97 he’s using and not a six one 95 anymore

the Pro Staff lettering is in a weird place lower down the throat than on the 97 bc of the 6.1's longer throat and shorter pallet on Lehecka's paintjob. I think the consensus is its either a 6.1 95 or 100 (or custom 97/98 headsize maybe) with a 16x20 pattern

Obviously he changed to a regular PS97, 16x19 string pattern, just count the strings. How do you get to be hall of fame if you can’t see the difference between a ps97 yoke and a six one yoke.
This guy played the final of Miami and should get some proper recognition

he literally just changed for Monte Carlo by the looks because he was still using a custom 6.1 with a 16x20 pattern in Miami - and ive given him more respect than many around here fyi

We can see he's changed for a couple reasons, so good spotting from Radar
The Pro Staff Lettering is in the correct position for the 97 (or potentially the X i guess but it looks 97) vs on his 6.1 where it was covered by his grip

and his 6.1 was all gloss, whereas the PS97 (or X potentially) is as retail part matte/part gloss

Interesting the amount of lead at 6 & 9 in the Miami pic w/ the 6.1, but none in the Monte Carlo pic w/ the new frame.

That seems like a wild switch. I would've thought if he was using a 6.1 100 with a 16x20 he'd have more power but similar control to the standard PS97.

Interesting

Alexandrova playing w Yonex VCore 98 in Linz. Practiced w it in Charleston but pulled out. She’s been tinkering this year so wondered if she would stick with it.

Purchased right off the shelf from a tennis store in Charleston. She came in and bought the whole lot.

It's possible it's the X - someone who can spot the differences in grommets etc... will have to look into that

With Mizuno having a successful release for their new rackets, anyone know if they’ll be signing any pros soon? And if yes, who are the besy candidates?

Probably not, but I would guess the athletes that wear their clothes/shoes would probably check them out first. Maybe Vavassori could like the Acrospeed from the Pure Drive or Shevchenko could switch to the Acrostrike

Sasnovich, good friends with Alexandrova, also just recently switched to Yonex. She ditched her old Head Extreme she's been playing with for years after losing first round qualies in Indian Wells, and switched to an Ezone 98 starting in Miami.

Just saw Alexandrova's match against Gabriela Knutson round 1 in Stuttgart and she was trying a 16x19 Technifibre Tfight racket (so not a 305 or 305S as they are 18x19, unless it is a pro stock made for her, but unlikely as she just changed to Yonex last tournament). She looked a lot more comfortable with it than the Vcore98 in Linz, at least to my eye. Likely the 300S or the 315S if she was sticking with a 98.

Not to discredit Knutson, someone who hovers around a 200-300 world ranking, but Alexandrova did go against Pliskova, a former world #1, last week in Linz. Anyone ranked in the top 100 would be more comfortable playing a Gabriela Knutson.

Trying out everything there is it seems. No Yonex logo last week, no Tecnifibre logo this one... must be the 300S maybe customized to her specs.

I'm a TFight 300s user and played w Vcore 98 las feb at the USTA Orlando, felt waaaaaay softer than the TFight not my cup of tee.

his bank account would beg to differ
well yeah we all know that's why he did it but his tennis has gotten worse just look at today lol honestly I would think he would have made enough money by now to not worry but I guess you can't have enough plus he has to pay for that wedding with katie lol

Searched for this because I'm watching him in Rome right now and he looks "off." My thought is it's the Wilson kit he's wearing, especially the shoes...

He definitely is having a bad year. Not sure if it is Wilson to blame though
Yeah I think that Sinner thrashing at the AO really did a number on him, but it's hard to judge solely on slow hardcourts and clay season which are obviously not his strong suit. He also mentioned making adjustments to his game post AO, so that might be a struggle. Not necessarily surprising to see his game not adapting and starting to struggle like Ruud.

We realllllly have to stop letting people throw the words "creative director" around so loosely lol.
It's like a "producer" credit in a movie or TV show. Next time you watch a TV show, pay attention to the number of "producer" credits at the beginning. It's on the order of 6-8 people, often times including the main stars of the show.

Or a writer on a Beyonce song.
