Huge chance for Luca here.

It should be an interesting match given what Djokovic is going through right now.

Will his fractured elbow allow him to survive Stan's slayer? Can't wait to see.

Discuss.

A future ATG that beat the man against the one armed Goat is no doubt a classic of the farm. Can Luca become the king of Luka?

Ever since Djokovic got rid of Uli and hired the new physio, he’s been trash. He was only fine in Australia because he had his old physio from before Uli. The new physio injures every player he works with.

Can these future level players leave Djoko alone, jeez. Tryharding so much just cause he is Djokovic. All he wants is a nice and easy day at the office. ;)

I actually don’t think this is a fluke from Van Assche. You’re underrating him. He’s just 18! This isn’t some futures guy it’s a young player with a lot of potential just breaking out.

He’s been a highly rated junior for a long time, won the Junior RG in 2021 and has won some challengers this year. Saw him play Fokina in Estoril and was generally impressed. He’s got a lot of baseline juice, doesn’t miss much either.

Turned to the tennis channel after waking up a bit ago and this is on. One of those rare times I’ll watch for a bit.

I was kidding. Van Assche seems really good. Great movement.

Just dialed in and caught the back to back breaks. They both seem to be playing well. Novak's elbow doesn't seem to be bothering him anywhere near what it did at MC - he's ripping forehands both crosscourt and down the line.

Is it me or is this clay court playing more like a HC? Feels like the clay is packed quite tightly, seems a lot faster than MC or Barcelona for example. I suppose it’s probably the rain but I wonder if it’s more than that, the serving at the tournament has been quite strong and the bounce isn’t really that high

Yea, it looks fast,...except for that Van Asshe kick serve that Novak's having to take shoulder high

I think he also shows some clever shot selection!

The Djoker breaks, up 2-1 now. Seems to have settled a bit and figured out Van Assche’s serve.

This one feels like it’s headed 3

Tuning in, Djokovic in yet another dog fight. After seeing what happened to Stan on Monday, not surprised.
