Stability of Head Prestige Pro but with more power and lower SW

I have demoed lots of frams to no avail ( yonexs , strikes, radicals, pure drives etc.....) Looking for a MODERN frame with More power than the prestige pro, lower SW but with the stability of a prestige pro. Is there such a frame ?

The Graphene XT PPro seems to fit that bill, modern and reasonably powerful (relative) although it can swing heavy versus some versions for some folks. Did you not like that version? Interested in replies to this thread.

I don't know how you can get more power with a lower swing weight. One thought process I have is you can swing faster to produce some speed and spin which may translate to more power? You need a healthy swing weight for a racket to be as stable as the prestige pro. I use the Youtek Prestige Pro and there is nothing like that frame in the modern era. It's raw whippy feel is amazing. The closest modern one I can think of what you are asking is Yonex VCore Pro 97 310. Your other option if you need more power is to lower the tension of the strings or use a powerful string like natural gut.

You can't get a frame that's like a Prestige with more power without increasing the swing weight. Your best bet is to go with something stiffer with a thicker beam. VCore 98 or simipar with a leather grip or is probably your best option

I've not played a prestige but in terms of stability at low weight and swingweight I'd be very surprised if there's anything that can match the new Textreme Tours.

My 310 feels just as stable as my PK Q Tours and Phantom 100. It just soaks up shots at net and big serves.

Pretty decent power too. Think the unstrung SW is listed as 285 and mine came in at around 318 strung before I modded it.

Try the new Blade and Gravity Pro. I’m curious what you think of them.

Vs what are your thoughts on the gravity pro? I'm tinkering with it

Also did you try the touch prestige tour? Interesting on paper but haven't got to try it yet

I liked the Gravity Pro. I hit with it with some black ploy at mid tension felt a little tight to me and I still liked the racquet despite a string setup I don't car for.

I've had hawk touch in it and feels a bit soft for my liking. Going to try lynx edge and some others but I feel like with the right string and maybe some extra weight in the handle it could be a beast

I like soft racquets that are muted with feel. The gravity actually feels like a HEAD racquet. Hopefully it trickle down to the Prestige

I've got a speed pro and the prestige tour coming so will demo between the 3. Was really enjoying the phantom pro 93 before tinkering with this gravity pro.

That sounds a little holy grailish to me. You either want the stability of a traditional frame like a Prestige, or you want something with modern power, which usually comes at the expense of the stability.

If you are referring to the new 95 head size Prestiges, I think some of the older 98's might give you something close to what you want, but it's not what I would call modern power. It's just a little easier to get some pop on a spinner with the polarity / larger head size, but the stability is sort of in the same ballpark. Same goes with any of the Radical Pros.

And then you lose some stability. I think it's a fatally flawed question.

I have it and lowered SW stable but not powerful nor spiny

I lowered SW lowered tension went thin edgy gauge like Hyper G 18,,,,,,,,, it was ok but lost directional control........ bottom line my 16 year old needs to bulk up,,,,,,,, there is no holly grail

I have the touch tour I tried the demo did not like it with string, I will bust it out and see

I tested Pure Drive Plus ,,,,,, overall nice but high SW of 328 , need to lower it to sub 310 and keep stability somehow , the QC on babolat is crazy,,,, strung range from 307 313 and 328 mine is the highest, note sure if knock offs on **** are lower SW

TF40 is not like a strike, cross over style. It’s a control frame that was given turbo. You, Sort of aging old school Head fans and you, up and comers with power, do not overlook..

Im going to try it with lynx. Ive been tinkering with the gravity pro and really like it but this prestige tour with a bit of work has me intrigued. 18x19 and 99 head. Maybe similar to the old good radical tours?

If you lowered the swing weight to sub-310, it won't be stable. The hoop would be completely wimpy.

Plus models add 10-20 points of SW versus regular length. Not sure if that is part of your calculations.

fyi, there may be some rackets along the lines of OP, but they are hard to pilot and won't be forgiving.

I added weight to my 30.7 320 grams tc97, to 31.5 327. Almost equal to the pro your.
Hell if it plays like the head... Stability issues solved

I was replying to your comment about the pure drive.

Not sure if this helps, but Pure Drive and Prestige are on the extreme far ends of the spectrum. It sounds like you want something in the middle.

I would recommend any Yonex in the 305-310 range, Radical Pro, regular Pro Staff 97, Blade 16x19, Prince 310.

Each one has pros / cons, and none will ever be perfect.

What is your NTRP? That might help the discussion along...

kid is an elite HS player looking to play D1, I understand they are different, read the OP looking for something as stable at the Prestige but with more pop spin and power, Pure Drive Plus if it were lower SW might fit the bill

vcore pro 100 and jus add heavy grip(s) and lead tape at 10/2 to solve power and stability issues...VCP has control of prestige but sweetspot forgiveness and power in 100” head size is the way to go. It plays and feels like a 97/98 but is really a 100

Prestige MPs are and always have been all 95. The size never changed, just the way they're measured.
