Found it at his Facebook/Instagram page
lisicki's still using the old pj, this one looks better
and there's no information about this pj on yonex site
they've been really slow this year
I saw these photos a couple days ago, I'm already using yonex however I use a really old model (rqis tour 95). I think this new design is really nice!! I think I will definetly give it a demo when they come out on the market!!i demoed the vcore 97 a few months back the 310 gram version it was a nice stick, played really well but nothing to make me wanna switch frames. Like I said this is a really sweet looking stick if it plays good I may switch, my rqis tours are getting old, I've used them for close to 5 years now.
And yes I agree yonex is really slow lately on releasing their new lines.
My hunch is that this will be essentially be a reissue of the discontinued Vcore 95D. It is widely alleged that Stan continues to play the 95D under the 97 Tour paint job; same with Hewitt. Reissuing the 95D with new cosmetics would be a smart move for Yonex.
I really like the black stripe down the outside of the throat....very simple change but a good classic looking paintjob.
I heard they won't be available until March. There may be a 98, 95 and a model like the old RDS 002 .
classic but nice
Really nice design. The colors match.
me too I like the paint job as a whole
what is that racket really ?
Sexi racquet, will buy
Looking forward to seeing how this racket specs out. Paintjob is sharp too, that never hurts.
Could be a rebirth of the RDS 002 model. The only think that leads me to that guess is the orange/black color scheme.
Paintjob looks like my Youtek Radical Pros.
That's great news if it is anything like the old RDS!! Put me down for a pair!!!
That's is a awesome paint job I must say....
Vcore tour G?
Do you have a picture of his shoe also ?
yonex just posted that information on Wawrinka's racket will be announced in mid January, according to their facebook page. They call it the new racket as of now. Off the subject, hope Hewitt got some bonus money from Yonex for beating Federer. Wonder how much Yonex is paying him? Can't be much based on his previous rankings.
Are these Vcore 95D for sure, or vcore 97; lots of confusion.please clarify
no idea where this whole 95D thing came from... would love to know also
wawrinka used the vcore 95D when he signed up to yonex. then when yonex market the vcore tour as wawrinka racket of choice. so, this is a debated either he kept the 95D under the vcore tour paintjob or actually using the vcore tour
Is that lead tape along the side?
yes, stan used lead tape on the sides on his rackets
Look at the grommets
This NEW racket of Stan will WIN him the Aussie open 2014
This. More flexi and comfortable than the current vcore series. I had a hit with it yesterday. Really nice ball pocketing.
Wawrinka's racket will be available in March. It's already on the Japanese Yonex HP. Check Below. It is the V Core G..initially only available in 97sq. in.
The specs are very similar to the current v core 97 model on TW.
About the actual specs of Wawrinka's racket...they are unknown. I have friends who are sponsored by Yonex here in Japan and they all get their rackets custom made, but I know one guy who gets his vcore tour 97 made at 345g base frame and it ends up at near 370 with strings and overgrip.
But the retail is 98 I think
Retail there were 98d and 95d before they discontinued both
For those who don't speak Japanese.
The color of the frame is called Fine Orange.
I mean the new Vcore tour G retail is 97 (not 98, sorry). Says so on the Japanese site. No 95 ver.
I overlaid the photos of the Vcore Tour 97 and Tour 97G from the Yonex site - the molds appear to be identical in all respects except for a slight difference in the shape of the notch at the top of the shaft.
can u post a photo?
He wins a slam and they sell nothing remotely like the 95D he's using? Bummer.
If he is using a 95, they will probably have a 95 at some point.
Just like to post a pic from the final with his 95d. Look at the "split bumper" paint in black. Non of the new vcore tours have split bumper.
I have a new VCore Tour G here. The paint finish is satin / pearl sheen where as Stan's new paint job is high gloss. No split bumper.
Damn that paintjob is too sexy. Yonex is the only company that makes me want to buy a racket just off their paintjobs.
Awesome? Where did you get it and what is the swingweight?
I'm in Melbourne and TW Australia received some supply directly from Yonex rep a few days before Australian Open Final. Not sure about the swing weight as I have added some lead on the handle to bring it up to 350 gram and make it a bit more headlight. Hefty and nice solid feel at contact. Going to play some games with it tonight to get a better feel for it.
thanks for posting pics
Keep us up to date, thanks!
What is this split bumper business? I've never heard the phrase before...
The 95d had a two piece bumper guard up top.
JASPERT please fix your shock buster it looks really bad and you did it really wrong...
Remove it and start it UNDER the left 4th main, weave it nice and push it up to the top cross please, thanks.
