You really believe that someone who uses a tool for 10 hours per day for 10 years will switch to the new one every 2 years??

vcore 95D was released 10+ years ago when he switched from head to Yonex.

welcome to the reality.
It's corruption. Atleast endorse the 95. It's not even the correct headsize . It's a totally different racquet.

I endorse the Prince RipStick. But underneath, it's a Jack Kramer autograph just with an awesome paint job.

I believe the NASCAR drivers should really drive Camrys or at least 4-banger Toyotas at 280 mph for 50 circles!
No, but in a bit more moral world, they should atleast not say they do. Companys should be fined for lying =)
We should not be OK with an industry which profit are based on manipulating of the consumer with lies, though it is how it works :)

PS : have you tried the restaurant I recommended? ;)

they say “endorse”, not specifically “using it”.

I was born in Belgrade and lived there first 19 years. Moved (on my own) to the USA in 1992. My parents and sister still live in Belgrade.
Loved it this week and played great tennis every day!
Recently joined tennis warehouse.

That's not a good comparison. Nobody is under the illusion that race car drivers use the same car on the track that they use in their day to day lives.

I was when I first moved to the USA
Same as I was when I first got deeper into tennis
I am sure a lot of people are also under the illusion that hair regrowth shampoos actually work, otherwise those manufacturers would not be able to run those commercials endlessly.

The power of Marketing and advertisement...

Is that racquet available? I only see Vcore 95. BTW I don't like it that they can endorse a racquet they don't even use.
If you want a Vcore 95D you'll have to search on used products or pro stock websites. They're quite expensive though!

I got a used 95D midplus for kicks. Pretty racquet. Really low-powered but control oriented for me.

It's not helpful to look for other things that don't make sense in order to justify something else that doesn't make sense.

I understand that Stan Wawrinka doesn't want to switch racquets everytime a new version comes out. But he is endorsing a 97 when he uses a 95. That's a totally different racquet with a different string pattern. He should be endorsing the Vcore 95. It's along similar lines to what he uses.

Pro tip: Don't try to copy Stan's setup. He uses an old frame and weights it up to the moon. Then he strings it up with full rpm blast @ 60-ish pounds. Not a pleasant experience for amateur players.

The lastest vcore pro retail line has great reviews is still plenty heavy enough (even the 310g version) for weekend warriors.

I don't really see the point of a 380g setup for amateurs unless you're trying to cover up a lack of a backswing or some other technique flaw.
Neither do I. I've just had it most my life but have no idea where it came from. I tried it in competition and found I played well with it.

Wawrinka has been the face of the Vcore Tour>Pro series for over a decade. Shapovalov is the face of the newer Vcore series.
Don't lose sleep over it.
Ok put it this way. If there was a guy preaching on the streets to people to become a vegan because meat is murder and then you find out this guy eats a steak for dinner, a hamburger for lunch and bacon and eggs for breakfast. What would you think? No no, it's ok, he never said he was a vegan he's just endorsing it?

I am not saying it is right. It is just the way it is and likely won't change so why get so worked up about it when there are bigger problems in the world?
Do you still believe in Santa Claus and that certain high profile athletes or celebrities drink a certain brand of cola or alcohol?
Star tennis players/athletes make money from endorsements and companies pay to have their names/faces associated with their product. If you don't agree with this, don't buy it and choose a different product.
I don't use the 97D and HD because Stanimal endorses them. I use them because they suit my skill level and playing style. Before them, I played with the Prince Textreme Tour 95 and Prince has no endorsement contracts other than Isner.
Just saying you should pick a racquet that suits your game/level and not to care so much about the face on the cardboard insert you remove and discard from the frame.

Are you genuinely shocked that pros endorse things they don't actually use? The paintjob thing has been going on in professional tennis for a long time. You might also be shocked to hear that even the shoes top pros wear are often different than what they actually endorse. Pretty much everything is custom at the top level.

How much does he get paid to endorse products he doesn't use? Isn't it a criminal offence to gain financial reward by deception ?

If you don't approve of the deceptive marketing practices from mainstream brands, I'd suggest you not to do business with them. Buy from companies like Angell, Diadem, Prince, Volkl, ProKennex etc. which don't do endorsements. Or get used racquets.

Oh Hi. I've tried an Angell racket but I didn't like it. Doesnt John Isner endorse a Prince racquet?

Anyway I bought a VCP 97 330g today. But I got the previous model. Dark green one. Good discount.:)

This 'endorsing' thing is not that old. Earlier racquet companies used "plays with" or "used by", in other words, they lied right to your face, and at least some company (was it Babolat?) got sued for false marketing, as the pros didn't of course use those (retail) racquets but often a lot order model or a totally different racquet, only painted to look like the latest retail model. Just like they do today. That's why they had to come around this lying thing, and the answer was to use the term "endorsed by" instead.

Nadal, for instance, uses a frame (mold) from 2004/05, which has few things in common with the latest retail Pure Aero he endorses. And many current Prestige endorsers use an old Pro Tour mold from the ninetees.

Yes, there was a class action lawsuit against Babolat a few years back. Therefore, they now use "endorsed by" instead of "used by" to avoid lawsuits.

There was a class action suit against Wilson, as well. I don't even think they should be able to use the word "endorses" either.

I was in the TW tent at Indian Wells and heard numerous people say things like "oh that's the Head racquet Djokovic uses" and other nonsense, so clearly they are still being deceptive.

Pro racquet specs are your friend ONLY if you have their technique. No point chasing Pro specs. It would only be counterproductive. That said, a lot of players I see on the park courts would not have developed their bad technique but for these tweener frames which let you do anything you want to.

I've never gotten that idea in the first place. Why would you pursuit someone else's optimal specs instead of finding the ones that suit you the best.
