Such fight from the Stanford Card. Cannot believe it is over for the Fab Four. You've provided so many unbelievable memories and good times. You have represented yourselves and the Farm so well. No place like Palo Alto.Good fight, but looks like Stanford ran out of gas eventually.

Well, Cards gave it one heck of a effort, came close but not quite. Next year will be the year. Stanford should be the favorite next year. Now it is time to cheer on the Women.........................Go Stanford.
Hahahaha, the fab 4? So funny, I can only imagine how that post match locker room talk went down.....thank you so much fab 4 for that sweet 16 appearance,Johnny mc and the Bryan's are so proudSuch fight from the Stanford Card. Which girl are you talking about ?? if it was Doyle,, she has been doing something really weird on her serves last few days,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Not sure if she has shoulder injury or what ?? she is serving like your grandmother like 40 mphok, girls are playing. #1 doubles was up 5:2 and lost, Stanford lost the doubles point. In the last game, with Stanford serving, It was 4 double faults in a row. Out of 8 serves only 2 made it over the net. I think she may have been a bit tense.....
Sometimes winning is not about winning. For four years I've watched a Stanford team that fights and does it the right way. No "on its;" no inappropriate, lewd cheering; no verbal or racket abuse. The players root for their teammate, not against their opponent. Kudos to Whit and Paul for that. For the Fab Four it's onto investment banking and Harvard and Vanderbilt. You, your games and your great cheer will be missed.Hahahaha, the fab 4? Is Trey going to medical school ? he didn't get much playing time but he was good enough to play full time in the lineup in most other teams. but he chose to play at Stanford, that tells you something right there about the Farm. and we will miss Marcek, he was such fun player to watch, lots of great energy. What will he be doing ? I think he said in the past something about "Changing the World and helping the needy" ?Sometimes winning is not about winning. Trey and Tony: investment banking. Maciek: a tech start-up in SF than onto Harvard Business School. Oh yeah the old winning isn't about winning response. In that case imagine how the seniors at Brown and Yale feel, they also did a lot of "winning". Perhaps you should try the investment banking or divinity forums....this college tennis forum actually cares about tennis winning.Sometimes winning is not about winning. Of course winning in the traditional sense is the most important thing. It's just that it's not the only thing. And there is also the issue of winning the right way. What goes around comes around.Oh yeah the old winning isn't about winning response. In that case imagine how the seniors at Brown and Yale feel, they also did a lot of "winning". Understandable.....both teams were very very nervous going into this match.Congrats to Stanford....but the level of tennis is so low, really low, I was at the match and it is a bad level, title 9 is a joke when u watch this
no that level was just brutally bad, none of those girls have any chance at pro tennisUnderstandable.....both teams were very very nervous going into this match.
Carol Zhao will be top 50 playerno that level was just brutally bad, none of those girls have any chance at pro tennis
Yes she will be top 50 in college, she just needs to play more matchesCarol Zhao will be top 50 player

Next year we are losing Paige and Romanowicz. David will have to step up big time. Sutter was playing well this year, and hopefully he can build on that.Nice player but not even close to a huge impact player on a national level.

Kumar and Genender will make impact. but Barber is question mark. He couldn't get into the lineup this year and not sure how much he can improve by next year. You are forgetting Sameer Kumar, Michael Geneder and Jack Barber who are only going to get better and will really impact the team next year.
What do you mean David is gone ??? he is only Sophomore.........With Maciek, Nolan, as well as David Hsu gone, I don't really see Stanford improving much from their current state. This incoming recruit is good but he's only 1 guy and that too he's a freshman so its hard to expect huge changes from him. Just in the Pac 12 Stanford will be hovering around 3-4 with Cal and USC ahead and UCLA as well if Mackie stays.
Holt should have been recruited by Stanford....he was a good fit there.Stanford's Recruit is good, but USC is bringing in two blue chips who are both ahead of him. Riley Smith is 4 and Brandon Holt, who is Tracy Austin's son is the current #1 recruit in the U.S.
Not really. David played in some of the early matches.... I saw him play in U of Washington huskies indoor courts. He played there and I heard he got injured and was taking time off then didn't see him again in any more matches. If you hadn't noticed, David was never at any match during the Spring, let alone not playing, and didn't travel at all anywhere with the team. He's been gone for a while. Still attends the university though.
Yes, that is Correct. but look for David to return to the team at some point. I can't guarantee it will be next season. Only David knows. but as far as taking time off, that was his decision, I will leave it at that. Academics always come 1st, that is the right decision.ITA website lists his match with Cal's Billy Griffith as his last match of the entire year. That was in October. I believe this is the match:
