As if on cue, our faithful prognosticator is at it again. Poor Tom probably does not realize that this is the "kiss of death".....
 
Kumar and Goldberg win the ITA regional championships in Cal. Now moving on the national championships in November. I pick them as darkhorse to win it all
 
Way off but that is ok. Very biased thoughts once again. Many teams are good, and almost every top program has great coaches and the motivation. It is time for you stop drinking the cool aid.
 
Final score Georgia Tech 4-1 over Stanford.

Hey, Cardinal are Legit top 20 team. The Talent level on the team speaks for itself. That was rough weekend with Georgia tech. but Conditions were awful. You have to be a tiger or Cougar to see in that horrible indoor stadium. They came back nicely against Memphis and beat them to build confidence going into the dual match with Cal. They will BEAT Cal this coming weekend and show NCAA, Cardinal are the team to fear.

Georgia tech plays indoor most of the time in the winter time and they are used to indoor conditions and perform even better indoors. that was the difference really.

as much as I'd like to think so I'm afraid that's not the case. Just last year they they beat Notre Dame in Round 64 of NCAA Tournament in the very same indoor stadium at Evanston. And followed that by beating Northwestern team next day (outdoors). This is actually a very nice facility, with playsight system, and free parking+admission for fans.

They need Kumar and Fawcett to win their singles, and doubles point. And get the fourth point from the other four singles. But that is going to be hard. They are a bit undersized which is apparent during doubles. But hey, it's sports, you never know, which is why they play the matches in the first place.

Northwestern on the other hand is soooo solid. Their doubles and top three courts are almost guaranteed points every time. And the other three singles are very, very solid as well. They are just good.

I'm emotionally attached to Stanford, and geographically to Northwestern - so either way I should be fine this season.... :)

LOL,,, nice fascility but total Crap of lighting. It feels like a Batcave or somewhere you would like to make love in,,,,NOT play tennis in. Anyway, top 3 guys from Northwestern is not big guys either and yet they are solid point all the time...?? those guys are Average height at BEST. Stanford beat them last year because they had More talent on the roster. You will see in National ITA indoors which NW qualified for,,,in 2 weeks, they will get beat up by bigger better teams. You can see that on FLO tennis.

WOW...wow...wow. NW has one of the best indoors in the country. Stanford has work to do. Seems that making excuses isn't going to help them.

You know this doesn't make your Stanford boys sound any better at all right? It makes it sound like they are stuck up prissy players who can't handle an ounce of adversity

You know not what you say..................lol. Tom was injured today, he couldn't hit anything with control because of it. he even yelled out in pain in middle of the match. Trainer came out and looked at it but not much she could do. Tom should probably rest at UCLA match tomorrow. it is some kind of wrist or forearm injury. he should take next 2 weeks off and heal it before he comes back. still lots of matches to be played this season
