Stanford Men

another loss to UCLA today. :( And Northwestern lost 4 straight matches after they were 10-0 to start the season..... :(

ouch....what a bad loss for cal....losing all three top spots

i think it was not an official Pac12 game
even though it technically was not a Conference match it is still a huuuuge win. Well done Cardinals!

David Wilczynski is quietly having a great season. If Kumar keeps improving maybe it is not a lost season after all....

ok, another huge match, another win. 4:1 vs. Texas. Wins for David Wilczynski and Kumar. Not a bad week so far at all.

What happened here ? disaster. but why was the Stanford player so upset ? he didn't even shake the hands of TCU player after the match. TCU must have done something really bad, I always knew they were poor sportsmen

Yeah some TCU guys started to run forward when one of Barber's slice backhands almost went into the net. But they played like 4 more shots after that so he doesn't have a legit beef.

I think because some of the TCU guys celebrated prematurely.
yes I agree, that is shot Hindrance and the point should have been played over. Umpire really fell asleep on that one. In fact that dual match should be null and entire dual meet should be played over sometime on make up date.

On the happier note. Barber and Genensen gets to the Pacific coast doubles final and is considered to be one of the top 5 doubles teams in NCAA by many.

Some big time matches coming up starting Monday. Cardinal should sweep all 4 dual meet and possibly move back into top 20.
Illinois – Entering its 20th year, the Cardinal holds a 6-4 all-time record with the last meeting coming in 2010 and resulting in a 4-3 Stanford win in Champaign, Ill.

San Diego State – Starting in 1982 the Cardinal has compiled an impressive flawless 12-0 record against the Aztecs with the last meeting coming last year. The Cardinal blanked SDSU 7-0 with Tom Fawcett claiming the clincher at the Broadway Tennis Center in Burlingame, Calif.

Arizona – A long-time Pac-12 opponent, the Wildcats and Cardinal go all the way back to 1973. Friday's match will be the 70th time the teams have met with Stanford owning an incredible 67-2 record over UA. Last season Stanford topped Arizona 4-1 in Tucson with Nolan Paige clinching the win at the No. 4 spot.

Utah – The Utes and Cardinal enter into Saturday's match with over 40 years of history. Starting in 1969, the Cardinal has dominated Utah with a 34-1 all-time record. Last time out against the Utes, Stanford took a 4-2 win with Nolan Paige coming through again as the clincher in Salt Lake City.

hmm i think latest win was not in the Rankings now, but Stanford is a tough out at ncaas but i fear if they not win vs UCLA & USC they will not host when the ncaas come. I imagine they will be send them to UCLA/CAL/USC ?

I fully expect them to beat both Bruins and Trojans at Home. they were so close to beating them on their own courts. and YES, Cardinal are the Top 5 team in NCAA, no doubt................Go Card

well, it does look like while they showed up after all - and yet it did not matter. Stanford just beat them senseless 4:1, and that after being down 1:0. Nice, nice win.
