Genesen was also pulled from singles. Stanford picked a bad time to rest their players.
Genesen had to be moved up as well to #2 singles. But who is this guy Dan Little, he beat one of the hottest freshman in the NCAA fairly easy. I saw the video and Alex just had no play on this guy's serve. His serve was huge.

Losses hurt your ranking, which makes your seeding lower in the NCAAs and your path tougher. Stanford is #12 right now. Only the top 8 make it to the final site by winning at home. Others have at least one road match in the NCAA playoffs.

No worries. Cardinal will have Axel Geller back in time for the NCAA tournament. He will be well rested and unbeatable. so we just need a doubles point and 2 more point from the lineup then it will be smooth sailing to the NCAA final and Win

Let's go Card, time to turn it on and leave it all out there in May, when it really counts. Leave the cheating Trojans behind. Cardinal men getting hotter and hotter everyday. And I think we found our leader that will lead the Cardinal to the NCAA title.

I have to say Stanford is fairly young. They return everyone except Kumar at #4 (very tough) and Genender at about #7. I predict that there will be many predictions of Stanford winning the 2020 NCAA title on these boards over the next 12 months.

Since Stanford last won the national championships in 2000 this is the 19th year in a row Fed/Nost has made a similar statement--and he didn't even go there which makes it all the more weird.

Neel Rajesh, another blue chip coming into the Farm. Does this pretty much lock it up for NCAA title next year ? 100 %
I wouldn't say it locks up the title, but one thing to look at in evaluating recruits is the trajectory of their junior careers. Look at the highest TRN rankings achieved by Rajesh by calendar year:

2016: 122 (medium 4-star)
2017: 77 (very high 4-star)
2018: 38 (medium to high 5-star)
2019: 7 (high blue chip)

That is quite an upward trend over time.

Exactly, this guy never stops improving kind of like John Isner and Steve Johnson. At this rate, he could be top 100 ATP player by the time he is Senior at Stanford

Or maybe since he's improving so rapidly he'll just skip Stanford and go directly to the pros.

I think it was a great year for Stanford. As usual they won nothing and competed for no titles but that's expected at this point. They did make it out of the round of 32 this year without losing at home and even put up a couple point against UV.
Here's to another great year next year, sweet 16 coming at you tree's.

Every player is coming back improved 200 %. There is no stopping the Trees next year. I predict an undefeated season all the way to the NCAA championship. Also Axel Geller will be individual singles champion and also will be Doubles champion with Alex.

Lets go Card. Axel Geller ready to take the individual crown starting tomorrow. Will he get the US open wildcard ?

is he even playing? i'm looking at the bracket and only see Rotsaert in singles...

so, no, he probably won't win, but it's not your wildest prediction ever :)
