Stars and stripes

I have a pretty decent racquet collection, but not many Wilsons. For some reason or other I just don't like their racquets that much. I realize it's all based on personal opinion, as there are many of you for whom their products work wonderfully. I do have a PS 6.0 85 (China) and a PS Stars and Stripes 85, where I prefer the latter by light years. Actually it's one of the sweeter sticks I know.

Anyway, now to my question: Is there a lot of difference play and feel-wise between the 85 and 95 versions of the Stars and Stripes?

PS Stars and Stripes? Never heard of it. Give us some specs, specifically it's age.

It was an 85 sq in Pro Staff 6.6 (I believe) with a wider beam than the 6.0. It was used by Jim Courier (for 1 month LOL!) and bore his autograph on the inside of the throat. It was called "Stars and Stripes" because of the red/white/blue paint job and the stars in the fields of blue. I had one, it was okay, but it was NOT as good as the 6.0 to me. It came out around 93-95 or so.

Maybe it wasn't as good as the 6.0 to most people, but I really prefer it. Back to my original question; surely there must be some people who have played both head sizes?

Damn, I'm sorry, I really should have said TO ME in my post. I was thinking that, but somehow it didn't make to to my fingers. If you like it, use it :) I love the paintjob. It's what sold me when I was 17. :)

I hit with the 95 and quite liked it. Nice feel.

I think the 85 was rather rare, though. I've never seen one.

No problem, shavenyak, no offence taken. :) I do believe however, that the 6.6 would have been seen in a more positive light, hadn't it been for the 6.0's iconlike status. The fact that Jim Courier only used it for a short time only doesn't really say anything to me about how good the racquet is/was.

Deuce, thanks for contributing. Yeah, the 85 has a nice feel to it, too. Sometimes there's a significant difference in feel between head sizes. I just wanted to see if they felt more or less the same. The search continues for a good gondition 95 then...

Showstopper, I figured the people who had played with it would recognize it by its nickname.
