I always thought Nadal had flattered to deceive this tournament, and the stats prove it. Ridiculous % on breakpoints saved and converted. That is probably not going to hold up against Djokovic, he will suddenly look a lot worse.

Not for Rafa, Rafa can still come back from one set down in RG, but for Novak it is really important to win first set to make this match interesting

This is how I see it. Novak Djokovic has to win first set to win the match. Rafa can come back even if he loses the first match. Since first set is more crucial to Djokovic , he will be under pressure in the start.

When Roger played Djokovic in those slam finals, 2015 W, 2015 US Open and 2019 W, I always felt Roger has chances only if he wins first set and each time he failed

Nadal should get credit for performing well under pressure at this tournament. He is clearly in a very calm place, based on his play and press conferences.

Considering Federer has more slams and weeks at 1 than Djokovic, I presume your definition of GOAT is based on "personal likability" of players and not facts?
I know for a fact that Federer will end up thirdwheel of the trio, so why bother.
