I've watched him pretty closely in the past few months. In terms of individual strokes, the forehand and topspin backhand are huge weapons, especially inside-out forehand and backhand down the line. He has great feel on drop shots and volleys. He is active rather than reactive at net. His first serve is big and unpredictable, while the second serve is average. Slice and backhand returns are the big weaknesses. I've never seen a one-handed backhand player with a less natural looking slice. The end result is that it often floats too much, and his opponent punishes it.

What I really like is his game style and attitude. Unlike Thiem and Zverev, he plays a very offensive style of tennis, always looking to make the first strike and move in. He is fluid and creative on court. He doesn't seem to get too despondent or angry when he's playing poorly. And most importantly, he plays with joy. I think he said after the Anderson match that when he plays with joy, he wins. My pick for the greatest of the so-called #nextgen.

I agree. He's very active, as opposed to being reactive, and whilst he might not be as well-rounded as Fed, he's not afraid of being creative and mix things up. When it works, it's the kind of match-up that can (and have) caused upsets to the likes of Zverev, and possibly now Nadal. I think he can take the bull down, but he needs nothing short than his A game. The Bull has shown that there are cracks in the armour to be exploited, which doesn't mean it's up for grabs. It's the big boss level. We'll see :)

@Meles

Maybe this thread could be our Tsitsipas playground?
Thiem and Zverev already out of the box and will do lots of damage on tour this year.
Finally people on here also accepted them.

Its time for other youngsters to get some attention!

I bet he will make many buy these insanely cool shoes. Adidas came up with these. And will look good on Tsitsipas and co.

@StefanosWillSaveTheWorld Its so much big 3 talk here, but there is a few that supports Tsitsipas in here, even though it doesnt look like it.

called it here first...

Tpas will be the tallest #1 ever in the ATP!

because he's taller than Safin, people say he's 6'4" but he's probably closer to 6'5"!

hopefully he's finished growing.

usually by early to mid twenties.

i had a growth spurt in college (undergrad) and went from 6 ft to about 6'3" and shoe size went from a 13 to a 15...
Hope he has stopped growing

Think he has grown a lot last two years, as he has been listed shorter than his real height (easy to notice when he is standing next to grown players we know the height of). When growing also changes in his game and equipment needed too. He managed to keep up with his own growth spendid so far, just hope he doesnt grow more.

Found some scoops w Tsitsipas

"For me already last year Nadal was more consistent then Federer. He can do it again and even overcome Federer’s Major record.” He said while comparing the two legends."
 He believes Rafa can take Feds slam record.

Talking about his goals he said like every other player his dream is to win Wimbledon. “Winning Wimbledon of course. And then Australian Open for fans support, because Melbourne is full of Greek people.”

So, AO is defo a slam he is pumped up to play!

Søderling said Tsitsipas reminded him of a young Bjørn Borg. The swedes called him a greek God on TV.
He is leaving a good impression every tournament he goes ;)

Ive hyped Thiem and Sasha very early on when not many believed in them, and I am not afraid of hyping Tpas too.
IMO he needs a haircut. His hair just looks too greasy and sweaty when he's busy pummelling the ball. Borg could carry it off, Tsitsipas can't.

I got a good feeling for this one ;)
No injuries so far and he will only get better if no injuries and able to play and practice.
He looks promising in that regard I find. Has the right body type (not too tall either).

I think he merely needs to tweak some aspects on his serve, so he's not following through so much to the side but rather into the court.

He's an astounding talent and rather amazed to here he prefers hard courts. Could be a big, big jump in his clay game this year.o_O

Not sure what the word to describe him but he's kinda like a diva and can be poorest of sports. I lost some respect for him. He tends to hold up opponents serve like he did against Roger and Basilashvili.

I can definitely see this kid as a star — as one of the faces representing the game in a way that I do not with some other promising players that I won’t mention (e.g., surly Medvedev and angry Rublev).
