It was an old injury he had from Rome that came back on the 5th set against Nole. He is out for 2 weeks. The worst case senario is that he will loose Paris Master and ATP finals. Fracture on the upper right foot.

Rubbish - you don’t win 20 GS by not having fire in your belly.
You always have to consider relatively. Who has more talent: Djokovic or Federer? And who has more fire in the belly?
Roger is so talented, throughout his career he essentially needed that fire only for two men!

I’m a huge Federer fan but I agree with you, up to a point at least. Roger could easily have 24 or 25 slams with a little more “fire in the belly”

I think Shapovalov and Sinner have even better stroke technique than Tsitsi.
Tennis is still in for a huge treat over the next 5 to 10 years.
Roger will do his Farewell Season, Rafa and Novak will still be going deep into the Big Tournaments and winning some of them.
Tsitsipas, Shapovalov, Rublev, Medvedev, Zverev, and Thiem will still be making lots of SFs and Finals.
Kyrgios will pop up from time to time.
Sinner and Musetti will start to establish themselves as top tier players.
Of all the evolving players, Jannik Sinner offers the greatest potential iimho. He has all the strokes, a reasonable mental attitude, a decent work ethic, and an excellent Coach.
I know someone who hit with him a few years ago. They said Sinner (then 15yo) was one of the hardest hitters he had ever faced.
Sinner has the ability to win all four of the Major Titles. He is good on all the surfaces. I don't think any of the other players currently under 25yo have that ability.
I would be perfectly content to see a longer term "Big 3" Style Rivalry that includes Tsitsipas, Shapovalov and Sinner. That would be awesome.

I agree Sinner looks the real deal, but let's not get ahead, he has lot of time. Thiem won his first slam at 27 in a 5 setter of low quality. First slam is very difficult and 2nd slam will take time because first is a relief, multiple slams require to revive hunger and many things to fall in place. We all thought Delpo has multiple slams in him.

He has an odd relationship with his father. Lots of tension there on both sides. I'd love to see him with another traveling coach. I know he often has a Morataglou academy person, but someone who can help him work on his weaknesses and play to his strengths would be invaluable to him. Right now he's an also ran too many times for his talent level. Dimitrov comes to mind for me. Lovely game but not quite there to really challenge for the big ones. If he could always play like he did last year's WTF, he would be very successful.

He must hire Magnus Norman. he will take him to 15 major titles. This is so true. but his father is getting in the way.
Also, one thing i did notice during the practice at the O2 arena, it was really funny how his father constantly telling steapnoe about Basics of stroke mechanics. Like when stepanoe missed,,, Hit up and thru,,, need good follow thru............LOL... it was hillarious. Stepanoe seem so annoyed by it...

Rubbish! Apostolos is THE main reason why Stefanos is succeeding the way he is.
You do not understand the way Greeks operate ... especially when it comes to Family relationships and the way they benefit the Family.
If Apostolos decides for himself to step down, like Toni Nadal did, all well and good.
But there is absolutely no way Stefanos would dump his Father as a Coach and Adviser. It simply won't happen. (Added bonus, always better to keep the money in the family by having a family member as the Coach too!)

Just get an additional coach then. Has he really improved on his backhand or return game for instance? Family is fine but this is the same situation that Rafa had a few years ago. Adding Moya to the team has been wonderful for him. We just want to see Stef doing better

For sure we do. But I don't think Stef's issue is his game, it is his attitude. He is still quite young emotionally. You can't really fix that with coaching.
A couple more years of maturing and his results will take off. In the meantime, sample all the good things this Tennis Life is offering him and slowly become more and more serious with the Tennis. I want to see him playing at his peak in his late 20s, early 30s, not now!
