That was a short-lived retirement.
Cruised through that one. Kept the errors down. Overall a clean match. He will appreciate the short match given the tough 5 setter a couple of days ago.Seems to be having a much easier time against Cuevas
This is the kind of match Tsitsipas needs to learn how to repeat. Clean performance, nothing but a confidence booster. That's how a champion plays.Seems to be having a much easier time against Cuevas
Nice to see. The Pas is winning more points with me every day!
Seems like Titspas has already resigned himself as a Semifinalist and he is satisfied with the result. and the honor of losing to a legend.
I'm starting to like him. Along with Medvedev, Rublev, Thiem, and hopefully Shapovalov there will be a new set of players to cheer for. It's long past time.
Oh no. Link please? I am afraid he was playing with it?So, from what I'm reading, Tsitsipas has a fracture in his right foot.
This injury will leave him sidelined for at least 2 weeks and he may even sit out the ATP finals in the worst case scenario.
It was an old injury he had from Rome that came back on the 5th set against Nole. He is out for 2 weeks. The worst case senario is that he will loose Paris Master and ATP finals. Fracture on the upper right foot.Oh no. Link please? I am afraid he was playing with it?

Looks pretty serious!Oh no. Link please? I am afraid he was playing with it?
Thanks for this. I hope he is back soon. He plays a lovely brand of tennis.Looks pretty serious!
Stefanos Tsitsipas a major doubt for Paris Masters after extent of French Open injury revealed
Stefanos Tsitsipas suffered an edema in his French Open semi-final and is likely to miss the Paris Masters, it has been revealed. The 23-year-old took Novaktennisbuzz.net
He's the closest ever to Federer in terms of beautiful effortless strokes.
But he has something Djokovic has, but Federer always lacks: fire in the belly. That's something even a great player needs to carry him over the finish line (think 40-15, multiple times).
Rubbish - you don’t win 20 GS by not having fire in your belly.
I’m a huge Federer fan but I agree with you, up to a point at least. Roger could easily have 24 or 25 slams with a little more “fire in the belly”You always have to consider relatively. Who has more talent: Djokovic or Federer? And who has more fire in the belly?
Roger is so talented, throughout his career he essentially needed that fire only for two men!
He's the closest ever to Federer in terms of beautiful effortless strokes.
I agree Sinner looks the real deal, but let's not get ahead, he has lot of time. Thiem won his first slam at 27 in a 5 setter of low quality. First slam is very difficult and 2nd slam will take time because first is a relief, multiple slams require to revive hunger and many things to fall in place. We all thought Delpo has multiple slams in him.I think Shapovalov and Sinner have even better stroke technique than Tsitsi.
Tennis is still in for a huge treat over the next 5 to 10 years.
Roger will do his Farewell Season, Rafa and Novak will still be going deep into the Big Tournaments and winning some of them.
Tsitsipas, Shapovalov, Rublev, Medvedev, Zverev, and Thiem will still be making lots of SFs and Finals.
Kyrgios will pop up from time to time.
Sinner and Musetti will start to establish themselves as top tier players.
Of all the evolving players, Jannik Sinner offers the greatest potential iimho. He has all the strokes, a reasonable mental attitude, a decent work ethic, and an excellent Coach.
I know someone who hit with him a few years ago. They said Sinner (then 15yo) was one of the hardest hitters he had ever faced.
Sinner has the ability to win all four of the Major Titles. He is good on all the surfaces. I don't think any of the other players currently under 25yo have that ability.
I would be perfectly content to see a longer term "Big 3" Style Rivalry that includes Tsitsipas, Shapovalov and Sinner. That would be awesome.

so that means he won't be defending his title at London, year ending masters trophy ?Oh no. Would be a really disappointing way to end the season
How many majors will stepanoe win next year ?? and will he win more than Thiem ?
Actually, the Greek Aristotle had a fracture between his Persona, Ego, and Shadow. He needs to stop sitting around deserts and pay more attention during his Jungnism classes. So, from what I'm reading, Tsitsipas has a fracture in his right foot.

I still hope he somehow plays the YEC. Let’s see.Oh no. Would be a really disappointing way to end the season
it definitely goes to his dad for sure, he sure stunk up the courts at the ATP finals.
What did he do?it definitely goes to his dad for sure, he sure stunk up the courts at the ATP finals.
2021 ... Assuming all Majors are played and all players remain unaffected by injuries.
AO Novak
RG Rafa, Novak or Tsitsipas
W Novak
USO Novak
As for Next Ten Years (which is a very long time ... 40 Majors.)
I think
Roger possibly 1
Rafa at least 3
Novak at least 6
Thiem at least 4
Tsitsipas at least 8
Shapovalov at least 3
Zverev at least 3
Sinner at least 8
Musetti at least 4
Excluding the current Big 3 ... of all the players I mention above, I think Sinner is the only one with any chance of getting to 20 Major Titles. But a lot of things would have to go right for him to achieve that feat. I think he is the one most capable of getting to 10 Majors. And if he gets to 10, he will get to 15.
Absolutely. He needs another or atleast an additional coach to strengthen some of his weak points. He has an odd relationship with his father. Lots of tension there on both sides. I'd love to see him with another traveling coach. I know he often has a Morataglou academy person, but someone who can help him work on his weaknesses and play to his strengths would be invaluable to him. Right now he's an also ran too many times for his talent level. Dimitrov comes to mind for me. Lovely game but not quite there to really challenge for the big ones. If he could always play like he did last year's WTF, he would be very successful.
Absolutely. He needs another or atleast an additional coach to strengthen some of his weak points.
What about Medvedev. He just beat the top 3 players on his way to 1500 points.
He must hire Magnus Norman. he will take him to 15 major titles. This is so true. but his father is getting in the way
Just get an additional coach then. Has he really improved on his backhand or return game for instance? Family is fine but this is the same situation that Rafa had a few years ago. Adding Moya to the team has been wonderful for him. We just want to see Stef doing betterRubbish! Apostolos is THE main reason why Stefanos is succeeding the way he is.
You do not understand the way Greeks operate ... especially when it comes to Family relationships and the way they benefit the Family.
If Apostolos decides for himself to step down, like Toni Nadal did, all well and good.
But there is absolutely no way Stefanos would dump his Father as a Coach and Adviser. It simply won't happen. (Added bonus, always better to keep the money in the family by having a family member as the Coach too!)
