No need for sympathy. If one of your kids behaves badly, you discipline them and make them understand what they did wrong. You shouldn’t support wrongdoing simply for the sake of friendship. That doesn’t make the world a better place.

And your friend should stand on the same grounds. Nothing to defend here.

I genuinely don't understand what's going on with the whole argentina thing. I'm just a boy, standing in front of a girl, asking her to help bring the cup back to canada.
 
After watching Spider-Man 4, Sadie Sink is officially my #1 celebrity crush now. I knew her as Max from Stranger Things, but her performance in this movie seals the deal for me.

Argentina was the defending champion and was one of the favourites to win the WC. They were also probably the most popular team. In other words, they were not the underdog team. Maybe Cape Verde, come to think of it.

And we can’t bring the Cup back to Canada because we have never won the cup before. England can say that but we can’t.

Your knowledge in WC is truly appalling.

I was watching The Grey (2011) last night and noticed Liam Neeson looks a bit like Messi—only taller and manlier.

Messi’s got a bit of a rat face. :censored:

I used to like Messi, sometime around the end of his Barcelona tenure and onward he really soured on me. Funnily enough, I do not care about Argentina being a physical team or "butchers". There are plenty of teams like that in football - both for country and domestically. Messi losing is why I wanted them to lose.

It is much more rare now than it was when I was younger. It's probably more accurate to say that I am a Sadie fan rather than that she is my crush.

Yes, Argentina having had players like Maradona and Messi may have been one of the national teams more butchered by their opponents. Especially, Maradona when back in the 80's players were not protected as today.

The most brutal attack on a player I remember may have been that from Andoni Goikotxea, a.k.a. the Bilbao butcher, to Maradona when he broke his leg during his Barcelona tenure. Maradona could not play for 4 months.
