Stencils on Natural Gut Hybrid?

Shaun

Rookie
I use natural gut mains and alu power rough crosses with string savers. Does using stencils have any kind of effect on the playability and behavior of natural gut and co poly crosses?

I can only think that stencil ink would impede the sliding action of the mains. Unless someone is paying you to advertise for them on your racquet, I would avoid stencils. Not a huge deal, surely, but why bother unless you're getting something out of it?

BTW, Shaun, how does your PS 100 play with gut/poly?

Why? Cosmetics. It looks professional. :)

It plays really nice for me right now. I always used the racquet that federer endorses except for a bigger head size. I've used k factor and the blx six one lite but the prostaff 100 is just too good. It's heavier and I can get more weight into the ball as I hit. Easy to get angles and very easy to maneuver. It also has a nice sweet spot. As far as the strings are concerned, I feel like I can get enough bite, power, and control when needed. I was always a federer fan (and always will be) and wanted to try out the strings he uses. I've used full poly and they were nice but gut poly combo is better. When I feel like the ball might sail a little long, it just catches the line because of bite. However, champions choice is a little too expensive for me and I'm looking for an alternative for gut and copoly that will play like champs choice.
