stiffer 90 for Federer? or bigger head?

The new 90 is slightly stiffer. As stiff as the PS 85. This might be a better way to get more pop on the serve and groundies. I feel the only reason why Fed is experimenting is due to Nadal. A stiffer frame might be better to handle the heavy spiny ball that comes up high on Fed's backhand. I think the bigger headed racket especially anything bigger than 93 hinders feel and precision for ridiculously talented Roger Federer.

A 98 frame isn't going to make no difference when it comes to his shanking. That is less than 1/4" diameter difference to a 90. The only reason he would be doing this is for the increased power.

-1. I think Father Time is the dude behind this.

Not sure I agree that stiffer is a good thing for a 32.5 yr old shoulder.
Well, the PS 85 has the same stiffness as the new 90 and thats been around forever. I think we would have heard from all the hack/club players that the PS 85 causes shoulder problems a long time ago.
