Stiffest poly on the market?

I need to know what the stiffest poly on the market is. So far I've been hearing a lot of votes for Pro Supex Blue Gear. In my experience, Signum pro has the crisp stiffness that I am looking for. I have yet to string up Kirschbaum's Competition but by comparing the material of the poly it seems comparable and most likely stiffer but their Super Smash Spiky was wayy to stiff. Luxilon Alu power is made of high grade material and it has a lot of power but it is as crisp as SPPP. Wiesscannon's silver string feels like (judging by touch not playing with) like Alu power. Scorpion feels more stiff to me (again judging by touch). What I am trying to avoid is trying polys that are like Topspin Cyber flash, Gamma Zo power, Topspin Cyber Blue, Unique Big hitter and Tecnifibre Spin fire. These are all poly that lose tension to quickly and feel mushy. I play with very loose tension so I want crispness for control and tension maintenance (not that crispness implies tension maintenance).

So my list of polys that qualify are:
-Sppp
-Babolat Hurrican Tour
-Kirschbaum Competition, Super smash spiky, spiky shark, Pro line 1
-Pacific Poly Force, then assuming Xforce and Poly force xtreme are similar
-Weiss Cannon Scorpion
-Pro supex Blue gear and big ace
-BB original

Some honorable mentions of "powerful" strings that aren't as stiff are:
-BB Alu Power and Alu power rough
-Weiss Cannon Silverstring and match power
-**Poly Star Energy and Turbo (I love these strings!!)
-Tecnifibre Red Code

Let me know what you guys think

For me the stiffest string iv played with is Luxilon Original Rough. Although it is an amazing string!

I wouldn't say SPPP is a very stiff poly but I like it at low tensions.

as per your sig. send me an email re MG prestige mid. theshaun81 at gmail dot com

You may want to give Pro Supex Premier Ace a try...I found it was stiffer and provides more directional control than Big Ace. According to NickB poly review, it seems that PA works quite well at lower tension. I believe it holds tension better than BA.

Luxilon Big Banger 5 Star 138 Polyester 1.37 290
Pacific Poly Force 17 Polyester 1.24 294
Prince Let Rπ Rip 16 Polyester 1.33 299
Gamma Dura Blast 16 Polyester 1.30 303
Pacific Poly Force 16L Polyester 1.30 320

Yep, Poly Force wins the race at 320.

odd though.....the list says that Kirschbaum P2 16L has a higher rating then Competition 16L and Pro line 16L. It is even rated more stiff then blue gear and Alu power of the same gauge. Kirschbuam advertises it to be:

A soft and powerful co-poly string. Offers vastly improved ball pocketing and comfort compared to early poly strings. We found excellent spin potential with this string and good tension maintenance for a monofilament.

i think sppp is the best because it starts out stiff like others and the tension stability allows it to keep its liveliness and stiffness longer.

I think Luxilon 5 Star 15L is the stiffest (which someone else mentioned too). Signum Poly Pro Plasma strings feel soft (which I prefer). Cyberflash feels pretty soft too.

The link I gave you opens up that list of over 600 strings

Yes I know, but that's just for the stiffness....the main article says
The chart below, which is also on our website, plots key information for all 600 strings. Use this chart, combined with the full listing of strings, to find your customer’s current string, and to then find either similar strings or strings with other characteristics that your customer desires. To find the string that goes with a dot on the chart, you simply need to note the dot’s coordinates, then look them up in the full listings on the website, which are sorted by stiffness.

But there is no "Chart below"

There are two charts. I sent you the list of over 600 strings and when you clicked on he main article link there is another list of 87 newer strings on that page.

BUT the problem, now that I compare them, the information in the two charts is not the same. For example, on the main page the chart says Pacific Poly Force 16L is 1.26 mm, 267 stiffness, and 17.84 tension loss. While in the complete chart it says it is 1.30 mm, 320 stiffness, and 19.03 tension loss. Very consistent aren't they? Don't shoot the messenger.

If you look at the RSI list of polys and their stiffness factors, you will see that poly range from around 200 up to 320 in stiffness.

I think that any ones under 225 are regarded as soft, those in the 230s are considered crisp and maybe stiff, and those above 240 are regarded as hard and very stiff. (Not much of a middle ground there.)

Big Ace Micro at 219 feels soft to me.
Lux Big Banger Ace 1.12 feels crisp to me at 232.
Cyberflash 1.20 feels crisp to me at 236.
Lux TiMO 1.10 feels stiff to me at 241.

Signum Pro Poly-Speed Spin is by far the deadest and stiffest poly I've ever tried, even in comparison to Babolat Tour Duralast and ALU Power.

Gamma Durablast (not to be confused with Babolat Duralast) was by far the stiffest string I've used. it even makes an annoying ping sound with a heavy dampener.

Gamma Duralast goes really good on the Aeropro drive Cortex since it's a powerful racquet. The strings kill the power a little but you still get the comfort of the racquet.

Thanks for all the opinions. I'm going to be trying Poly force as soon as possible.

For those who think pro hurricane tour is stiff, if you ever want to try some "stiffer" strings go by the chart and choose one that is stiffer. Science doesn't lie. LOl
