Still believe!

As long as Fed holds a racket, as long as he is still out there practicing and playing matches he will always have a chance. He fought till the end unlike last year, so that gives more hope for the future. It was terribly tight, could have gone either way. One day he will hold n.18. Even if he doesn't win it, us Fed-fans will always have 17 to feel great for. We cheer for him because of his style, magic, attitude and grace (and many more), not because he gets to 18 and doesn't finish with 17.
(Sorry Djokovic fans for my initial comments on the MTO, it was the immediate disappointment. It wasn't as if Fed lost serve right afterwards, so although not nice, it didn't cause the loss)

I don't have faith in Federer winning another slam if he has to face either Nadal or Djokovic. I just don't think he can beat them anymore. And it looks as though at least one of those two is going to make it to every single final in the foreseeable future.

Hopefully 18 will come in the fall season at Flushing Meadows! They can still speed it (courts) up. I'm one of those who believed he can only win tournaments (slams) with his old Tour 90 racquet; tried, tested and proven!
