Have no idea where exactly did you have a problem? Starting the crosses, in the middle or at the end? Were you using one piece or two piece? Why type string and gauge string were you using?

LMAO!!! I bet that helps. You are about the first stringer I ever heard of that needed directions to a grommet hole.

I know exactly what you're talking about. This is the frame with rubber grommets for the crosses. It can be at times very difficult to get a string through. There is no easy answer besides moving your client into a new frame!

Oh now I see one of those 'Power Hole' rackets. Don't ya just love those gimmick rackets? Pathfinder awl works great.

It's because the HH4.3 has powerholes, which means the grommets are recessed within a cutout. They are annoying to string. It's easily solved by having a well lit room, and getting eye level with the grommet (as they can kind of "lean" to one side of the hole.
I don't think they were rubber, just recessed.

I may be getting the series wrong, but if it was a 4.3, it was blue, and Wilson had one that wasn't in the powerholes series, but had a rubber set of grommets. I will see if I can find pictures.

I am still looking, but I strung one a few days back. Its not the H series, or Triad, and its before n code. I will see if I can find a picture of Venus using it.

maybe a triad? I can't think of any rubber holed wilson frames off the top of my head...
There was the HH6.2 that had rubber grommets... I never enjoyed stringing that frame.

Definitely not a triad, I can see it in my head! lighter blue and grey, i am thinking of an oversize. the grommets on the sides were very rubbery and pulled out a lot. come to think, the whole grommet set was in many pieces. come on people, think!
I believe the HH 4.3 without the power holes was what is commonly referred to as an SMU (special make up) that was probably sold at a box store after the initial run of 4.3s made their way through the big vendors and pro shops.
SMUs look like the originals - but in most cases they are way off - or at least dont have some of the "features" of the original - such as powerholes. They are also typically sold strung. These are the Head Ti.S6 and Prince TT Bandits that you see being sold with strings at ***** and SA, etc. FYI - the SMU Ti.S6 doesnt have the same handle as the original.
If you see your frame all of a sudden available anywhere at a reduced cost - and sold strung - be wary.

Yeah, now that you guys mention it, i do recall stringing some rubber grommeted racquets. I remember they would shred if I fanned too far out. I hated that friction. I'm pretty confident the 4.3 had power holes, though. My best friend had one.

It's a silly tip but often helps. Slice the string diagonally. Kinda like threading thread through a needle; the thinner the tip, the easier

^^^^^^^This is great advice, you can also use some vasoline or chapstick. I would put it on your awl and then run that through the grommet hole. Then after you get it through, you can wipe off the oils with a rag. I keep a tube of chapstick with my stringing supplies. Just be sure to clean it off the grommet good, because the oils can lead to cracking in the plastic/rubber of the grommets.
I used to string quite a few of these like ten years ago, all the ladies at my club had them. I am glad none of them use ALU rough!
