I saw her in San Diego a couple of years ago for both practice and match play. Her arms are well defined, but she's pretty normal sized. They don't look huge in person. Her forehand is scarier live than on tv. I think the sleeveless skirt makes the arms stand out more.
Although she's listed at 5'9" she really closer to 5'8". I measured my wife and Sam isn't quite as tall. I stood next to her while she was watching another match.

Holy crap those shoulders and arms would put most of us TT members to shame.
Borg_number_one: True. Her game is solid overall. She is, after all, a grand slam champion. The Australian Open just seems to be unkind to her. She happened to have hit an in-form Ivanovic. It was a great match to watch.
She is more jacked than Nadal or any ATP player.
Monfils is more ripped and muscular than Stosur, but who else?
Stosur is more squared and blocky than Nadal.
She's a real 5'9.
I've met her, stood next to her, hit with her. I'm 5'8.

I find this kind of allegation to be pure speculation. Every time a player male or female is muscular they must be taking something. Sorry but if it was that easy to prove then they would all be banned by now.
Stosur is naturally stocky. Think Michael Russell. Look at his guns.
Michael Russel's guns? The guy is 5'8", and his arms don't even look ripped.
Your smoking something tommy. Protein shakes and hard work aren't illegal. "If it was easy to prove they would all be banned by now" suggests that they're all doing something but haven't been caught . No maybe they're just all 100% clean, with the exception of Wayne Odesnik and a few other perennial low rankers.
I'm ripped at 6% body fat and I haven't taken anything. Just eating clean, very limited alcohol, lift heavy weights with a lot of compound lifts and tennis and basketball for my cardio did it for me.
People seem to think having an athletic, ripped and muscular body is somehow a black art and unachievable without drugs. You just do the basics and work hard.
