and I apologize as well, realizing how easy quick posts here can be misconstrued.
Good points Imo, except that I don't think the effort required here is an issue like that. Imo, most Jrs need a stroke that just allows them to swing away. They struggle with metering in the effort and do better with a all or nothing type swing. Now I'm not saying to put in extra effort to crush the ball, but just to cut loose and swing away, then build more "feel" with time and experience. Imo the DB lets them swing away to a large extent if they swing it close to correct and makes it easy for them to convert some of that power to spin as they desire. Imo, most jrs don't need a effort conservation technique, but more of a technique that lets them bleed off some power of a full swing.
