Strange how vomiting on the court at the US Open seems to be a winning strategy

Yes, it happened to Pete Sampras in the 1996 US Open quarterfinals against Alex Corretja, and he went on to win a very tough match in 5 sets.

Today, it happened to Andy Murray in his match against Andrei Pavel. Murray vomits twice on court and then goes on to win in 5 tough sets. Hmmmm....perhaps next time I'm down in a tough match I should try blowing chunks to see if that turns things around and helps me to win? LOL.

What is it with Murray? He's the same age as Nadal and yet he's like a 10-year old on court for a 5-set match: cramps. spasms, fatigue, vomitting...been going on since June this year...

I think its fair to say that Nadal is the exception as opposed to the rule when it comes to physical condition for an 18 year old!

Murray managed to pull out the win regardless - he cant be in that bad shape. He puked cos his body reacted badly to a sodium drink not because of being unfit (although he was taking the drink as a precaution to cramping so...)

ummm exception to the rule in that Nadal is in amazing shape and condition for someone of his age - saying someone is not up to Nadal's level is kind of like saying his serve is not as good as Sampras'

Sick dude.

But I know when I throw up, I always feel like a hundred times better right afterwards for maybe 25 minutes until I have to throw up again. And I'm talking about when I'm actually sick. I didn't see the match but its possible Murry throwing up just gave him like a shot of energy. Or maybe it was just gross?

Even at the French though Gasquet was saying that Nadal was not like other people his (their) age. He just kept saying, "he is so physically developed for his age" and stuff like that. Seems true to me, I know I wasn't a menacing hulk when I was that age. I am now of course. No vomiting though.
