String advice for 13 year old

Hello all, I am a 13 year old tennis player who has used rpm blast at 48lb for a while now and have found it to be nice, but a little harsh on the arm. I have broken them now, and I was wondering what I should get next. I use a full western grip so I'm looking to generate a lot of topsin but I would also like to create a little more depth as well. Could anyone recommend some string setups and tensions? Any responses will be appreciated.

For those wondering, I'm using yonex ezone 100l

You should probably replace the strings before they break, as they can go harsh on the arm before then. I change them when they start notching and the strings lock up on each other.

You can try to reduce the tension in the cross to reduce friction on the mains so the strings slide better. This might reduce shock to your arm.

You can always do RPM Blast in a hybrid with a multifilament cross if you want to make it comfortable. Or NG mains crossed by RPM Blast if price isn't a concern.

If I were you, I'd just replace the strings upon bad notching. It sounds like you like polys because you like spin so do that to save your arm. There are plenty of soft polys to try too. If you like RPM Blast then you can hybrid with it to see if it'll help with the harshness.

Thanks for the advice, I do remember the strings feeling quite harsh and a little dull before they broke compared to my second racket which still felt very crisp

100%. If you like RPM Blast, it's probably just a matter of changing the string once the string bed degrades significantly. If you let them notch up and lock up, a lot more shock goes to your arm than if they could slide freely. Also, spin suffers without these sliding strings (aka snapback)

re: depth, maybe consider demoing an ezone 100

I would, but I got both my rackets last year and it would be a waste to replace them so soon. I have gotten considerably stronger since though so I'm sure I would be able to handle the heavier weight now.

Probably about 3 weeks of around 5 hours a week
-thats a good/tolerable average time for strings (on such an open string pattern frame)
-rpm.rough, rpm.power are softer options
-if an when you start breaking faster(1week/days), you'll need to reconsider racquet switch, but not now IMO

In that case just aim a little deeper I guess. If the light frame isn’t helping you get the penetrating power you need (assuming correct technique with full body turn) you might just have to aim a little higher or something. Not sure

Natural gut mains allows more power. You might want to use a multifilament cross so you get more power. I don’t use multifilaments really so I don’t know. Same goes for synthetic gut. Supposedly they allow for more power and presumably depth. Poly is for when you want to hit balls harder but shorter, from what I understand

What I'd do: 1) I'd lower the tension in your crosses to 45#. 2) I'd get some lead tape and add 3gms total divided at 3 and 9 o'clock. Lead tape is cheap. 3) After you play, re-evaluate and go from there.
