I'm looking for a string that offers the feel, power, and touch of Kirschbaum Pro Line Evolution 1.25mm, but with just a bit more spin and slightly crisper feel...something heading towards the spin and crisp of Tour Bite but not to that extreme.
Loving a lot about the Pro Line Evolution (they're probably going to close it out since I'm liking it) in a hybrid with Gosen OG Sheep 1.22 crosses, but I just can't find the confidence on my serve with it like I get when I use Tour Bite, that I also use in a hybrid with Gosen OG Sheep 1.22 crosses. Tour Bite mains/Gosen crosses have been my go to string set up for years but I recently started experimenting with non-shaped polys and now the Tour Bite seems to give me almost too much spin. The extra spin Tour Bite offers really gives me a lot of confidence on my kick serves (with very few double faults), but during groundies I feel like I get too much topspin (slice is still incredibly effective with the TB).
If pairing them with Gosen OG Sheep 1.22 crosses, which one of the following strings (that I currently have) would be most likely to give me the feel, power, and touch of the Evolution with slightly more spin and maybe a touch crisper feel?
Solinco Hyper G 1.20mm
Wilson Revolve 1.25mm
Volkl Cyclone 1.20mm
MSV CoFocus 1.18mm
Solinco Confidential 1.25mm (tried this once, seemed to lose tension fast - or was strung too low to begin with, control was lacking because of tension problems)
Tourna Black Zone 1.25mm (tried this one as well, seems to lack the power that I liked in the Evolution, compared side by side liked the Evolution better)
Babolat RPM Blast 1.20mm
Kirschbaum ProLine X 1.25mm (tried this one side by side the Black Zone and Evolution and while a decent string, this one came in 3rd compared to the others)
Or maybe dropping the Gosen cross and going to a full bed of Evolution might be the way to go?
Thanks for any guidance!
