String for Pure Control+

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a string for my pure control. I am looking for somthing with good playability. Durability is really a problem for me as I don't break strings very often. I am currently using asterisk at 57#. I was looking into Klip Venom or the Pacific PolyGut Hybrid. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm pretty much the same. I use the aeropro control and I don't break a whole lot of strings. Originally strung it with luxilon original rough 16L in the mains at 58 lbs and wilson sensation 17 in the crosses at 56. It played great although the luxilon was a little hard on my arm. So if you don't have arm problems you might want to give that a try. So now I'm gonna try same tensions with Topspin polypolar 17 in the mains(I hear it's a softer poly that still plays great) and Wilson NXT Tour 17 in the crosses. No idea how it's going to turn out though. There are a lot of complaints with NXT though, I guess it loses tension quickly. I liked it when I hit with it in the past though.

PC+ is my weapon of choice. I always use a full poly job: Luxilon BB ALU or Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour. However, I had one of my racquets strung with the softer ploy Klip K-boom 17g (mains @58#) and the excellent multi Yonex Tour Super 850 Pro Spin (cross. @56#). That hybrid combo gives me excellent power but a controllable one. Not like a full poly job, but almost. It also gives me more feel than a full poly job. Very comfortable. Excellent for doubles. The problem is (at least for me) that this hybrid does not have the same bite and therefore enough spin. And for that, I blame the multi not the poly. IMO with this type of racquet (somewhat powerful) you need lots of spin to control the beast.

BTW, in tennis.com there is a string selector where you can see the stiffness of any string you want.

http://www.tennis.com/yourgame/gear/...tor/index.html

For example, Yonex Tour Super 850 Pro Spin has a stiffness of 196, Klip K-boom 17g has a stiffness of 234, Klip venom 16 has a stiffness of 194 (almost like the said Yonex, but the yonie is cheaper), Pacific Poly Force 16L has a stiffness of 320 (very stiff), Pacific Poly Force 17 has a stiffness of 294, Pacific Force 17g has a stiffness of 262, and BB ALU Power has only a stiffness of 242 (a ratio that a lot of strings do have, even "soft" polys like Unique Big Hitter 16g has a ratio of 241) and TIMO 17 has a ratio of 261.
