Please count me in !

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get in with the Bab Playtest, but I'd love to be in the next one

Me 2, me 2 - I want to playtest please :)

I'll pay for the shipping to me in Europe !!

Please ship me some strings to playtest for you :D

If you wanted people to pay for the postage overseas you'd have so many more options. I'd throw the $5 or whatever to send to Sydney, Australia.

I would also appreciate being considered for a playtest. I was a little too slow the first time around. This time I didn't even see a request. If I need to provide any personal data to be considered please let me know.

Thanks

If possible, I'll playtest this. Some of my teammates use the same racket as me, so they can also put in some feedback, provided they hit with mine.

I would like to have the opportunity to participate in this as well. Pretty disappointed that I have not been asked given the amount of string I buy from TW. I regularly review for another string forum but I guess I'm not good enough for TW. Perhaps time to find a new source for string.

guys I think they picked everyone already. I got chosen :)

That's a bummer :(

Glad for you, that you got picked!!!

I hope TW EUROPE will start to conduct some play tests soon, so us guys from Europe will have a chance to play test strings too ;)

After all 75% or more of all new strings are designed in Europe ATM (probably made in Asia, but designed by European companies), so can't see why Europeans should not participate in playtests..... :???:

Those who had gotten chosen for this, could you please tell me how you did so(email, call, etc.) so that i can try this for future reference. Thanks

I didn't sign up for this one, so I am assuming they are using the same playtesters from the Babolat string test. The Babolat string test, I signed up via post on this board. Pretty much just luck that you see it and sign up in time.

They sent me an email saying I was selected (as I stated before I believe it is the same as the RPM test from March, but that's just my opinion) and they asked for you to respond to the email with shipping info.

Whats the process?

Does anybody actually know what the process is for getting selected as a play tester? I would love to take part and because I'm a coach I have access to lots of different types of players, rackets, etc... to get a wide range of feedback if necessary.

Please TW. Count me into this playtest! With high school tennis everyday from 1:30 until 4 or 5, I got so much time to test out this string!

Got picked no idea what string we are testing other than it's a poly; But let's not turn this thread into a whining/begging thread.
By the looks of it they are picking at random, no clue wasn't there a a thread for the rpm blast where you ask to be picked or was it like this ?

Yes, there was a thread for RPM that I signed up for and got lucky enough to be selected. This one however, I did nothing, just got an email. Thus why I am assuming they are using the same playtesters.

People, they picked the playtesters already. Stop asking to be in the playtest. I don't know how they chose the testers, but you weren't chosen. As Odyssey said, don't turn this into a begging thread because it obviously won't work.

As for what string, it's an unnamed poly. They said wait 7-10 for shipping, and that was 4 or 5 days ago.

Austin here is right. No matter how much we want it, we're not gonna get it. They already chose people, and chances are they're playing with this string as I speak.

Sure I'm disappointed. But I'm just wondering why TW chose it at random, and didn't have a thread to sign up for the strings like RPM Blast.

A) I doubt it's truly a random sample.

B) TW should have been smart about whom they picked. Pick a tennis enthusiast who has little interest in equipment may give them an unbiased review. Pick a stringer with an affinity towards any type of string and you're going to get a more biased review.

C) Most of us on the TW forums are passionate about our equipment. I automatically discount brands because of my absent-minded brand loyalty to Yonex. Pick Babolat nuts and you're going to get rave reviews. Ask a Wilson loyalist and you'll get the opposite (assuming they're play-testing RPM Blast). Finding unbiased strings who know their brands and tries everything with loyalty to no one is probably the best approach.

D) As mentioned above, play testers have already been picked, strings have already been strung and people are already having fun trying out a new product. Now we just wait.

Just got my set of strings. They look to be hexagonal shaped :S I don't really like shaped strings, but I'll give it a try. Any ideas what this new string may be?
