String recommendation for Yonex EZONE Ai 100.

Levente

Rookie
Hi,

Please help me, to find a good string for my YEAI 100 racquet.
I'm a baseliner cca 3,5 player.
My problem is my game is too shallow many ball is going to the net...
I've tried Yonex Poly Tour and Luxilon ALU Power but the result were very similar.

Many thanks!
Levente

Get some lessons and work on your form. Hitting balls into the net is a result of bad technique. Changing strings isn't going to magically correct your mistakes

Thanks for helping.
Volkl string not aviable where I made restring, so I will try a similar setup:
Signum Pro Tornado and Signum Pro Ultra-Power SF

Yeah I know, that not just the string made the mistakes....
but now I use Yonex poly tour spin (blue one) and I my play is much better.

Why are you using poly to begin with? If your balls are falling short, maybe you need a bit more lively string. Why not start with a synthetic gut, any you like, and try that. If you like that then you can upgrade to a multi,Wilson Sensation is a good economical choice, and see if you like that.

No offense, but a 3.5 really shouldn't be playing with a poly unless he/she is a big, big string breaker.

WC Black 5 Edge is an amazing pair to Ai 98.

The stringer recomended the poly string. He sad it much more favored among the players than synthetic or multi and multi is more expensive.
Which Sensation do you recomend? normal or control?

NXT a bit expensive, more than double price than sensation..

What do you think about signum pro micronite? same price than sensation and just double than wilson synt gut
or head rip control?

I'd recommend the cheapest multi you can find, regardless of brand or a synthetic gut in a thick gauge to start. But, let me ask you something. You indicate that you're a 3,5 player? I didn't look at your country of origin when I posted. I have now. Help me understand are you a beginner, intermediate or advanced player? In the US, a 3.5 is lower level player a beginner who has become somewhat consistent.

Rabbit gets it.

Poly is for string breakers. It is not needed for people who don't break syn gut or multi. I see so many 3.0 women and 3.5 guys using poly without any logic.

I was breaking the strings in my Wilson Pro Opens every 12-13 sets. I switched to the Steam 99S and sold two Pro Opens to a friend of mine. He weighs 60 lbs more than me, and is 6'3". In nine months he never broke a string. So I cut out the Black5Edge mains/ X1 bi-phase after those brand new strings had been in his frame since Feb, and restrung them with PPA 16g. He has yet to break a string. He doesn't need poly because he doesn't break multis.

I'm Hungarian. I think I'm a intermediate, recreation player. I play more then 10 years ago 1-2 times a week, but never had a trainer,

The x-1 bi-phase has double price than ppa. does it worth?
