String savers on a gut/poly hrbrid

I have natural gut mains / poly crosses, and was wondering if I should apply string savers. It's starting to fray a little bit. I have the Babolat string savers. If I should put them in, what kind of pattern should I do to improve durability while still having a similar feel?

Thanks!

Edit: If it matters, I have Klip Legend 15L on the mains, and Volkl Cyclone 16 on the crosses. My racquet has a 16x16 string pattern (Head Graphene XT Speed MP A), so keep that in mind.

Central strings 8x8 or 8x10 pattern. Putting string savers outside of the central mains are not needed unless you hit enough out there to cause fraying. :D
