String setup for Prince Phantom 93P 14x18?

I'm trying to decide how I want to string this racquet. For my more power-oriented spin frames like the Dunlop SX300 or Pure Aero Plus, I tend to go with a full bed of edged poly at around 50-52. I find that the best tradeoff between comfort and control for that type of setup. For lower-powered frames I often use a hybrid, and my Phantom Pro 93P 18x20 is strung with VTorque Tour 18 and Monogut ZX at 46/44. I think that tension may be too low for the 14x18, though, maybe something in between?

I have a decent variety of strings on hand: a bunch of shaped polys, some soft like Hyper-G Soft and a couple firmer like Tour Bite, a few smooth polys including Ice Code and Pro Line 2, some Monogut ZX, some multi like NRG2 and Head Velocity MLT, and 1 pack of real natural gut.

I'd like to get this strung up today and try it tomorrow. I did demo it about a year ago and it was fun, but I don't recall the string setup in the demo. My goal is to maintain the comfort and bias the strings slightly towards power because of the 93 head, but I don't want a trampoline or something where the string breaks every hour. Suggestions?

I definitely found the launch angle of the 14x18 much higher than that of the 18x20 93P. But it wasn't a high power frame. Just higher launch and spin.

I like gut poly in all my phantoms as I can get some oomph from the gut and still good spin potential. That may still be a good option in the 14x18 but run the gut a little tighter (say 54 lbs). Then a round poly like your Pro Line 2 at 48lbs.

Another option would be Hyper G soft around 50 with Velocity cross at 52.

I had good outcomes playing a full bed of Hyper G 16 at 50 / 48 in this frame.

You definitely need a thick gauge in this pattern, or durability will be an issue. That set up was lasting me 6-7 hours, and I thought it had a good blend of comfort and power, while spin was off the chart high. It requires some adjustment, though, given the extreme launch angle.

I put in Hyper-G 17 at 48. I am loving it. I am hoping to break the poly before it dies, which usually doesn’t happen for me. :)

Of the polys you have, I'd use the thickest one and string it at approx the same tension you have used on your Dunlop and Babolat--around 50. You're going to get plenty of spin, even with the thicker string.
