String suggestions for spin

I know that technique plays into it obviously but from my experience, strings do make a world of difference as well.

I use a Pure Drive and I currently use Kirschbaum P2. I love it. Feels a bit dull but I enjoy the spin and pocketing.

I like experimenting with new strings and was hoping to try something new on my next few sets of strings. I want something that can bring even more spin and possibly pop but spin is my main priority but no kevlar.

My friend has suggested Lux ALU Power Spin and RPM Blast (although he says the RPM lacks pop for his tastes).

I have tried Spiky Shark and I get wayyy more spin with P2 despite Spiky Shark being textured, I'm not sure why this is so but I have been skeptical of textured strings since then.

I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks!

I see in your signature that you have tried RPM blast, would you say these two strings are spinnier?
How do the two listed above compare with one another?
Thanks!

RPM goes dead FAST!

Pro Hurricane Tour IMO is better...

try Signum Pro Tornado...maybe Spikey Shark but ive never tried it..

They are slightly spinnier than RPM. I like fresh RPM more but since it goes dead too fast the other two are overall better strings

have you tried lowering your tension? i string pretty low and the first thing i noticed was that i have way more topspin. and thats with a first gen poly

What's the general consensus on textured strings, do they provide more spin for you?

From my experience with Spiky Shark, I didn't feel that way and was able to get more pocketing and "grab" from the full P2.

With the latest post from TW about lubricated strings increasing spin, it makes me doubt textured strings a bit because the texture would likely serve as extra friction between the strings to inhibit the strings sliding back and forth. Let me know your thoughts!

I currently string P2 at 51, so that's relatively low compared to what I have heard others on this board.

Textured strings on the mains do increase spin for me. Try a poly poly hybrid with textured strings in the mains and smooth string (proline 2) in the crosses
