So i've experienced a lot with string tension and I posted before stating that i'm a extreme western grip player that likes low tension. My question this time is if someone who prefers high tension plays low tension (or vise versa)... will this totally throw off the person's game or even just hitting in general? For me, when i play high tension when i prefer low tension, it feels like a brick wall and my shots all hit the net... Occasionally when i play a match and that's all i got, I literally have to grind it out because it's so uncomfortable and have to change lot of the swing patterns etc... Sometimes i will come through but most of the time I play really bad. So my question is pro level or not... how bad will a player play if it's not there regular tension.... If federer played a top 100 player in a different string tension will he still succeed? how bout a 4.5 player playing with off tension playing good 3.5 player....
