String type and launch angle

I realise there is another thread but the topic is slightly different. What i want to know is: do different string types promote higher or lower launch? I suppose by extension: is that inherent in the string type or a product of the tension those strings are usually strung at?

For example i might have a control multi (like prince premier control) at 56 pounds, but a poly (such as cyclone) at 48.

What i'm wondering is if i can tame the launch angle in a Prince Tour Pro 100 ESP using different string types, but without putting them too high tension so that they cause arm issues. Ideally i'd use a control multi but not if i lose all control! Maybe a hybrid (multi/poly?)

Durability may be an issue since you are using a spin pattern but I find syn gut to hit flatter than poly or the multi you mention ppc.

Higher tensions and stiffer strings tend to lower the launch angle. Shaped mains tend to lift the launch angle higher. Also, mains tension and type affects feel so that's down to personal preference.

To just lower the launch angle without changing much else, I'd increase the tension of crosses only. Go by small increments, 1-2lbs at a time.
