Not long ago I watched a video where a guy (maybe from India) sat on his bed and strung a racket with nothing but dowels and awls, maybe a lever. Does anyone have that link to that video or one like it where a racket is strung essentially in the lap? Thnx.

You realize those are special awls made to hold string in the hole.
Anyone know what the pins are in the video? I have been thinking about diamond coating awls of various sizes for an ultralight personal stringer. I would want to use a lot more force than in the above video to completely eliminate drawback, I hope. Damage to the grommets and polyester string at the grommets would be inconsequential relative to fast wear at the stringbed on my 16x19 frames, I also hope.

That guy’s tensioner is ingenious compared to the hard rubber tube stuffed with pencils I used for a few patches in the early 70’s.

How many crosses did you skip with your pattern?
