When stringing crosses on my 6 point machine I run into the situation as described below in my drawing. The round line is the frame, the little rectangle is one of the mounts, and the red lines are two possible ways for the cross string to exit the frame. Which is the better way to pull string in this scenario? Line 1 does not touch the mount at all but puts pressure against the frame at a sharp angle. Line 2 puts no pressure on the frame but seems to put a ton of force on the mount. I've been using Line 2 with all my stringing but decided to ask here if its bad for the long term stability of the machine. Or, perhaps I'm doing it all wrong and not mounting the racquet properly?
