Did you try to checkout? The discount got removed when I tried to checkout and pay.
My discount is a 15% military discount...I do not enter any 'discount code'. When I log into Wilson's site, my info is already pre-loaded from a third party military verification site. Whether I choose to pay credit card or PayPal, my numbers do not change, all the way to clicking 'Submit Payment' as the final step. My previous post explains the breakdown of the total cost for the $6K Baiardo w/15% discount ($5100, add 7% Ga sales tax ($357) and to my front door with free UPS ship for $5457.

Maybe some folks are thinking when you first go to Wilson's site and the initial '10% off' popup shows up for entering an email addy, that they can apply that to the Baiardo. This could very well lead some into the rabbit hole of cornfusion that seems to be going on.

Baiardo and Baiardo L clamps are not the same.
What is different? The Baiardo used to have the heavier ones which were replaced the newer lighter ones that also ship with the Baiardo. Did Wilson switch them back to the original?

EDIT: forgot about the gravity release feature. See Herbs post below detailing all the differences. I assume this holds true still in 2023. But I don't know that for a fact.

Maybe I’m getting things mixed up. I thought the Baiardo had gravity clamps and the L had twist locking ones.
I absolutely would have liked to get the Baiardo over the Ghost 2, but in my case, paying close to $3K more for the Baiardo didn't make much sense since both have gravity release bases. Since I'm the only one using the machine, having the ability to store settings for different stringers to be able to quickly change height from one person to another wasn't necessary. Also, I didn't feel the the tilting turntable feature was worth the price difference.

Having strung a few more racquets on my Ghost 2 now, compared to my Sensor, there are certain instances where the Ghost 2 string clamps are not able to clamp off as close to the frame as the Sensor was able to. However, I have not noticed any difference in the quality and playability of my string jobs.

Is there a place to find quick comparisons?

Considering Solinco Falcon, Baiardo, and Ergo 1
Here's my attempt to highlight similar features across the 3 machines you are considering

Solinco GT Falcon: Straight rails, gravity release base clamps, string gripper w/ up-down action

Wilson Baiardo:
Curved rails, gravity release base clamps, string gripper w/ diablo which can be used as a guide or to wrap string around

TF Ergo 1
: Straight rails, switch action release base clamps, string gripper w/ guide

I know I'll sound like a shill for Tourna, but look at the 850. You can get one new for the price of a used Baiardo and it has almost all of the same features.
i'd be curious to know if any of the pro tournament stringing rooms use Tourna machines. Babolat, Wilson, Tecnifibre, Yonex, and Exthree machines are all used in stringing rooms at pro tournaments.

I wasn't aware he was stringing at pro events.

I'm aware of the machines used on the pro tour. Of course those events will have that kind of equipment. The sponsors are paying big $$ to make sure their machines are prominent.

This might be interesting to folks who have strung on the original Bairado and considering a new Bairado. Nicely explained by Herb
