Stringing Pure Aero French Open

I was stringing this for someone but it seems to be different from a regular Pure Aero. I couldn't find the right grommets to tie off crosses unless this is only meant for one piece stringing? Do I still skip 7 and 9 on mains?

Whats weird is that the specs on the racquet says its 98 sq in and 16 x 20. Is that right or is this a fake?

I’m not aware of any Rafa inspired paint schemes of the PAVS (which are 98 sq inches and 16x20).

Yeh. Only way I found out is cos I was doing two piece stringing and then couldnt find the tie off for the cross. It could be done one piece and so I investigated the specs and grommets and knew something was not right.

OH NO, might be fake. Then again, I can't remember if the light model was different? Here are some graphics/specs and also the spin grommets. 16/19 string pattern.

Just to confirm - yours is 100 sq in and 16 x 19? Does it say "CORTEH" anywhere?

I actually don't see cortex written anywhere. Here are some more pics: close up of specs, aero grommets (how they will look on the side) and some other detailed graphics. Like the 12 o'clock little circle to line up the top on the stringing machine.

@pico,

Definitely looks like a fake to me.

Many things in the cosmetics aren't the same as a genuine Pure Aero.
There's a lot of things incongruous going on here.

Even if this frame was legit, it certainly is not a Pure Aero (which has skips at 7H, 9H and 7T, 9T).
If it was legit it would have to be an Aero Pro Drive (which has skips only at 8H and 8T).
The spacing between the grommets (in the "corner" areas) makes it evident that the frame you have would have to skip only 8H and 8T.
The spacing would not allow for the skipping of 7H,9H and 7T,9T

Additionally, the frame in your photos has 35 holes on each side. This means that frame is indeed a 16x19 pattern.
This rules out it possibly being something like a Pure Aero VS (98" 16x20). If it was actually the VS (20 crosses), then it would have 36 holes on each side.
Furthermore, the VS frames have more of a "box beam" shape in the upper portion of the hoop.
The frame in your photos looks just like the (elliptical) beam of an Aero Pro Drive.

Lastly, the grommets appear to be exactly like the old "Woofer" style grommets found on all of the Aero Pro Drive frames (these were used prior to the introduction of the FSI grommets on the 2016 Pure Aero).

In conclusion...
I believe this frame (regardless of whether it is a fake... or even a real one simply repainted) was made using the mold that was used for the old Aero Pro Drive frames.
This explains the elliptical beam shape, the 8H, 8T skips, as well as the older "Woofer" style grommet set.

Here are the specs to the PURE AERO

Did you read my previous post?
That frame can't be a genuine Pure Aero.

Once again... the frame you have can not have a 16x20 pattern. It doesn't have the requisite number of holes (it has 35 on each side, instead of 36).
Furthermore, the Pure Aero is not a 98" frame.

Do you understand how what's printed on your frame doesn't jive with the real McCoy?

The fake one is definitely an "H". It's the real one that has a stylized "X" that looks like an "H". Blow up both pictures and you'll see the difference.

My friend I totally understand you. Just that dl125 was suggesting it could be otherwise. I greatly appreciate your feedback.
