Hi Angell Users,
I have been playing the last few months with Angell TC95 and 100 sticks and wondered whether there is a dominant / ideal string I could use.

I am currently using Solinco Hyper G @ 23 KG in the 95s and Luxilon Element @ 23KG in the 100.

The Hyper G is a bit too stiff and is aggravating my arm. I am looking for a combination of Spin / Control, Durability and Comfort. Power not so much - will just drop tension accordingly.

Any recommendations would be greatly received.

Many many thanks - Billy

FYI Specs:
TC95 - 16*19, 63 RA, 320gr, 305mm, Grip B
TC100 - 16*19, 63RA, 300gr, 325mm, Grip B

If you like Hyper G, give doing a gut x slick round poly hybrid a try.

Try Klip Legend x Ghostwire a shot, with the gut strung 5-10% higher and overall tension higher.

Your arm will feel good but you'll avoid adding too much power.

agree, I have both those rackets and use a klip Legend main/various lower power Poly crosses. Mains usually around 56 lbs and crosses 2-3 lbs lower. Depending where I am playing (sea level or 4000 ft at home) I will adjust tension up or down a few lbs

Thanks to both of you for this. I’m playing below sea level (coast of Netherlands) which might explain why all my balls are so slow .

Thanks for this. Interesting choice - I have no experience with gut but would like to try. Much appreciated

Yes agree - thank you all. I will probably cycle through each of the recommendations above as my strings die (and once tournament season is over) and come back with my experience.

My TC100 has a yellow Volkl Cyclone 17g full bed; don't know the tension as it came with it.

It is so good that I have not cut it out yet!

Hey - just curious, but do you know the STRUNG specs of the 95? I am close to buying one at that exact spec (which matches my current Prince Textreme Tour 95). Any help would be appreciated (strung weight, balance if possible), thanks!

In your TC100 gut/poly set up did you play until the strings break? If so, how long does gut/poly last in this frame? Do you play with lots of spin and pace? Thanks!

Both racquets have different string spec, including the strings... so you will get arm problems if you switch back and forth.
I have found Halo 3 to be a nice string that gives decent control/power and comfort on both the RA63, 16x19.

Kirchbaum Max Power is also one that comes up with the TC95 Ra 63 I amy try it this year but first I will try yonex poly tour pro 1.25 black (because I have some sitting around). I like very low power polys that have a little bit of that syn gut pocketing. To date RS Lyon 1.25 is my go to in the Tc95. For me its perfect. Why is TW not carrying it except on the TWE site?

Anyone else using hybrid setups? Just picked up a V3 TC95 63 RA 16x19, have not strung it up yet but I'm also wondering about strings. I've heard using 16g might be good to help flatten out the launch angle. Considering Klip 16g natural gut mains vs kirschenbaum max power 16 crosses....I could always go with a bed of full poly but I really enjoy the comfort/feel/longevity of hybrids .
