Strings like Pro Hurricane Tour/ poly issues

Ok, i recently strung up my M-fil's with a poly/multi hybrid of pro hurricane tour 17 @ 53 and X-1 Biphase RED at 57. I've been loving this combo so far but have read multiple times "oh pht is overpriced" ect and am wondering if i could find a similar string for a lower price?

Also i've heard poly loses tension very quickly but the multi's do not. Which are the best tesnion holding polys?

i dont know about different strings for you, but i can tell you that as far as tension is concerned, polys do have a higher initial tension loss, but then maintain their tension alot longer than a typical multi...multis hold initial tension, but within just a few hours go down the crapper pretty fast...poly is far superior in tension holding properties...

I used the PHT for a few months and it held tension as well as any string I ever used-except natural gut. The PHT seems to have a gradual tension loss until it just dies-most other polys seem to have a greater initial tension loss then settles in until it dies.

Yeah, IMO the PHT is overpriced. There are a lot of polys that are much cheaper that give equal performance. The hex shape of the PHT is very subtle and I don't think it does much for spin. Take a look at Cyberflash, Pro Supex or Wilson Enduro pro-all less expensive but quality strings.
