Ex-tennis star Bob Hewitt sentenced to six years for **** in South Africa

Former Grand Slam doubles tennis champion Bob Hewitt was sentenced to six years in prison by a South African court on Monday after being found guilty of two counts of **** and a charge of sexual assault of minors, local media reported.

The Australian-born Hewitt, 75, was found guilty of assaulting three under-age girls during his time coaching children in South Africa in the 1980s and 1990s.

As this is a tennis forum, I´ll only talk about his game.Fantastic doubles player. He and Mc MIllan were my all time favourite time and the team I´d never missed seeing play in the 70´s.

Frew McMillan currently commentates for British Eurosport including at this year's French Open.

I often wonder what he thinks about what has happened to his former doubles partner although I have the impression their relationship was purely professional and that they were never close friends!

As Hewitt once told, the secret of their success was that they were very different off court, and no close friends.

good idea. but often easier said than done, isn´t it?
let´s hope the ban isn´t permanent, as you have much to contribute
and share a common love for the golden age of tennis
