Becoming a confectioner is an interesting career choice for someone with a family history of diabetes who is not allowed to take her prescribed medication.
It’s almost like it doesn’t make sense and was simply a crap excuse when she got caught testing positive to a drug that seemed to be only taken by Russians.

These products are only unhealthy when not taken in moderation.

Sugarpova is a lifestyle confectionary good for slim and fashionable females.

No 'fat chicks' will be caught dead eating it. It's not who they are meant for.

Can they both be wrong to promote unhealthy products, especially when they don't need the money?

This is not an 'excuse' presented by Sharapova. You need to read the court documents, not stale media copy recycled endlessly by the prejudiced.

The drug was 'prescribed' to her as a part of a suite of products when she presented with 'recurrent viral illnesses'. It is not however prescription medicine.

Meldonium is, in fact, a useless East European corner-store cheapo sold as a pick-me-up. USADA and WADA banned it as part of the current wave of Russophobia.

Because athletes in Eastern Europe and Russia generally have little money, they seem to have been persuaded by their coaches that this placebo is actually useful.

Providing they have a membership card from the John Birch Society it's perfectly legal.

Its founder was also into candy, so membership means you are of good standing.

If this is not possible, then a personal reference from Petro Poroshenko is the next best thing.

Is it legal for professional tennis players to take Sugarpovas without a TUE?

Why would an athlete want to promote sugar and candies which is completely unhealthy... what kind of legacy is it?

Yes, truly a visionary collaboration of “best-in-class” brands. There is a market obviously for cheap, crap quality candy and chocolates with a pretty package but why the mouthful of PR nonsense ?

Sugarpusherpova and her testilying agent. Quite the pair.

It's amazing the flip-flops you do when you have an axe to grind.

Do you expect Sugarpova not to obey the logic of a capitalistic marketplace?

Would you prefer that she sold health food to the third word in order to appease your non-existent socialistic principles?

A grand total of three posts on the entire thread ? o_O Weak posting era.

Thought about doing another thread from her book where she said if guys cannot deal with her being 6 foot 2 that is their problem. But seriously it just shows that other than maybe Serena she is the most talked about & divisive female figure here & with the general public-she is the Marmite of tennis, either you love her or you hate her.

It turns out there were 60000 other posts under "show ignored content." I guess people like to talk about Pova. Or maybe three people, 20000 each.

You are smarter than that. Sugar is incredibly addictive. Why would these athletes bother? When you have an opportunity to promote anything you want, and make a positive difference in the world, don't choose this product.

Hidden sugar is the problem, not sugar that you can easily discern.

People are pigging out on things that they do not even know has tons of sugar in it.

They then turn around and refuse themselves a cake, a candy, or a chocolate all of which are fine in moderation.

You are just being petty and ridiculous!

When it comes to food you just eat natural and fresh, and not many fruits or vegetables are actually marketed that strongly.

Instead we get athletes promoting pseudo-health foods, sports drinks, and similar rubbish.

Sports drinks which are loaded with high amounts of sugar as well. Do love the term super-foods, a marketing tool used to fool people into thinking they are buying food that will turn them into supreme athletes/beings.

Powerade, which I think is owned by Coc-Cola, has a lot of sugar.

They are moreover drunk by people whose level of play is too low to need anything extra beyond water.

The 'healthy fruit drinks' in the UK are all loaded with added sugar-just shows the power of marketing & people not reading the labels. People could just buy oranges, pomegranates etc & squeeze/squash them into a glass/container, instead they buy them with 15-20 grams of sugar per 150ml.
