Super Grap or Wilson X-Tra Tack compared to....

I've got 1 overgrip of Wilson Pro overgrip and 1 overgrip of Gamma Smart Grip I'm going to put on a couple racquets I'm demoing right now.

In an overgrip I look for superior tack...my hands stay so dry in the winter I need extreme tack to hold onto the racquet.

Can anyone compare (or just comment on) the tackiness of Yonex Super Grap (black, green, yellow, or red) or the tackiness of Wilson XTra Tack compared to either the Gamma Smart Grip or the Wilson Pro overgrip?

Thanks.

supergrap (black) to wilson pro: not as tacky and not as long lasting but its abit softer and bit more absorbant

xtra tack (black) to wilson pro: not tacky at all, not worth it

Not sure I understand your first comparison. Supergrap is tackier than Wilson Pro, but Wilson Pro is softer and more absorbant. At least that's the way I see it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I've only ever used white. TripleB wanted color comparisons.

I really like the Gamma Smart grip (along with the Gamma Supreme and Gamma 2). It definitely grabs your hand a bit more than the Yonex Supergrap (which I also like). It doesn't wrap around the handle quite as nicely as the Supergrap, though. It's hard to wrap it without those annoying 'wrinkles' appearing near the butt cap.

Really I was just wanting comparison between the grips. The colors represent colors I would possibly use. I know that with some grip different colors give different feels...that's the only reason I put the colors in there.

That is one of the most annoying things isn't it? I really can't feel the wrinkles when I'm playing but just knowing they are there

After playing last night....the Gamma Smart overgrip is much better for me than the Wilson Pro overgrip. Within a set and a half the Wilson had lost its tack and felt "velvety"...ie: not enough tack.

all i can is that x tra tack is horrible. says it's tacky but with my experience it was slippery. my hands barely sweat and it got worse when they did.

wilson pro is a nice tack and wilson super tack is a lot more ut the feel of it is not too pleasant. super grap is near the wilson pro but i think that wilson pro over grip is tackier, although other people would beg to differ

with what i've experienced with x tack.. i think it's horrible. there's no tack whatsoever and when i played with it, there were so many times when my racquet would slip out of my hand during groundstrokes
