This really isn't the thread for your constant nonsense battle.
What do you mean by "nonsense" it was an overall observation as to the present situation at Wimbledon. One of the most important- and arguably-the best player is not participating. Federer is obviously going to win - but what kind of a final will it be if the end result is so predictable

First of all, agree with TBobLP that this has not been obvious or predictable. I would say it would have been more so with Rafa here than not. This has been a fantastic Wimbledon.
Second of all, and this is the most important point, THIS thread is not the place for this conversation. Rafa's not playing and he has no place in a predictions thread for those actually participating. Even if he was, this isn't really place to discuss the actual on goings....
Or should I start talking about others not participating? Like say Nalby, because shadows designed these specifically for him:

(Sorry everyone for going so off topic. Carry on.)
Don't blame me, shadows made it!seffina, that picture scares me just a little too much!
Sincere apologies to all - I contributed to this in a hurry and did not read the heading - serve me right for the ear bashing
Two pointers have really destroyed my chance of winning this tournament.

Well IMO there is way too much importance on picking the sets right. For example in 5 games a player could get 100% but get no 5 pointers. In another a player could get only 2 right and get 2 5-pointers. They would be on level points despite the first player having a better knowledge. If picking the right winner was 3 points instead of 2 it would be a different story however.tudwell is in the same boat, but a little worse off. Both of you have 99 correctly guessed matches out of 123.
I agree with the fact that there is too much emphises on set predictions. How's about we swap the points around (i.e. 3 points for a correct winner, 2 points extra for correct sets) for the next league?
maybe for good this time..I see that GJ001 is back in the crapper.

I think we should re-evaluate the scoring scale after this tourney.
For example, if two people pick the same winner, but one gets the set score right and one doesn't, the person that picks set score would gain +3 points on the other person.
If two people pick different players, and one picks the winner correctly but doesn't get the set score right, they only gain +2 points. I don't think set scores should be weighed more than correct winners.
I don't know if my explanation was clear or not, but basically I think it should be 5 and 3 instead of 5 and 2. That way picking matches incorrectly would carry more weight. I wasn't around from the start of the season, so I didn't have much say in the original scale.
Don't know if my explanation was clear or not, just something I think should be brought into consideration, w/ so many people getting burned by picking correct winners but incorrect sets. Just feel picking winners should be weighed more than picking sets. Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say.
2 points for picking the winner right. What you mean by two pointers.
Also is anyone else against this or for it?TM 6 people want to change the points for the next tourny to 3/2 instead of 2/3. Is this enough to cause the change?
