This is a great point. We have a young player about to reach mega stardom. someone will have to make her a racket with great dampening with good power and control, soft feel racket like Prince. Then give her a mega contract to use it....lol. Most likely Head, her being european as well. babolat and wilson tend to be stiff feelling with less feel. It will be very interesting to see which one she chooses.Still no stencil going into the final of a major. Prince is too dumb or broke to get her under contract.
What racquet will she be using in 2 months...Babolat, Head, Yonex or Wilson?
I'm going with Head or Babolat.
Prince has hit marketing gold with such a wonderful young player with a dynamic game using their racquets.
Maybe the money freed up from Pouille can be used for Prince to look after Iga.
If not Prince, then Yonex or Technifibre.
I cant believe Nike lost sponsorship of such a terrific player and role model. Asics has been very lucky to get Iga when they did.
she won't struggle with new racket. They will custom make anything to her specs that she likes with mold that she would be happy with. these days it is so easy to make custom rackets to player's spefications with all the super computer and racket manufacturing techs out there. The question is also if she opts to stay with currnet racquet with no money from Prince or very little money if they can offer sth or get a big deal but maybe struggle later with new stick...
Anyway a person who wanted her in Asics will get a nice bonus I think![]()
Ohh it has happened many times in tennis that racquet change was the beginning of the downfallshe won't struggle with new racket. That has Never happened with Yonex or Wilson rackets. they have too much flexibility to change and customize their rackets to any specification that player wants or needsOhh it has happened many times in tennis that racquet change was the beginning of the downfall
I could see her endorsing (or even playing) the Blade 98S v7 (or any other model prior) since it’s the same pattern, but the feel won’t be the same.It will be hard to replace her racquet as it is low in weight, high SW and 18x16 string pattern. I can’t see anything to switch to excluding custom drill pattern or painting Prince racquets as others. Maybe Wilson will have copy as P22![]()

I mentioned this before in the thread.. but it doesn’t change the fact that sometimes even this can have an impact on player... Kerber and Sampras both complaining that new paintjob is too heavy is firstYou know the big companies will take the racquets she reaches the RG final with and paint them to look like their own current racquets (without the slightest hesitation or twinge of conscience) right?
Then they will get around any lawsuit by saying that player "endorses" that model, not plays with it.
Paintjobs are very common in the game.
TW stencil ftw!Show

yes 16x18... should have typed this waySo she isn't sponsored by Prince but has custom 18x16 drill pattern? Stock TT290 is 16x18.

I hope she will do well in her first final. Whatever comes after that would be a bonus for her!
Maybe Prince can pay her the Isner money instead. Lol

As a Prince lover and someone who is loyal to TW and to this forum.. it saddens me Iga won't be staying and leading a newer generation back to this great brand.
If Prince wants to endorse her they’re going to have to fork over a few hundred grand @ the least. But they’ll never be able to match what Babolat, Head or Wilson can offer.
On the other hand, racquet switches don’t always work out so well. Might not be worth it.
Fingers crossed she ends up a Rublev!
It would be a huge deal for Prince. but unfornately, they just can't afford her
They are already worse than Vokle or pacific. they have no money, and credit Swiss won't lend them money so that they can pay some young talent. But if they want to grow, at some point they‘ll need to bite the bullet & shell out some endorsement money to younger talent. Otherwise Prince will just become another Völkl/Pacific.
ive followed tennis a while and i can barely remember anyone switching racquet brands successfully,
unless they already used that brand previously..

Which Prince Textreme is she using atm?
Why is that? I bet Prince is selling much more than the two companies you mentioned. Recent offerings, like the phantom line, have strong followers. They are already worse than Vokle or pacific.
Especially Wozniacki moving to Yonex never happenedThat has Never happened with Yonex or Wilson rackets. they have too much flexibility to change and customize their rackets to any specification that player wants or needs
Volkl does plenty well.
They're just smart enough to know that their core demographic are 40+ year old 5.0 players that don't care what racquets pros are endorsing.
You mean no weight added? Are you sure?Textreme Tour 100 (290), stock.
ironically, she could go the same way by picking up new PD or Pure Strike 100.Just don't pull a Lucas Pouille!
Head make the most similar IMO, with their traditional box beam type frames. There's not much out there with the same feel as Prince frames though IMO. I bet her game goes to crap once she switches framesStill no stencil going into the final of a major. Prince is too dumb or broke to get her under contract.
