Syn gut mains with poly crosses

I've been using this combo and liking it. Wilson red alert syn gut crossed with a cheap poly, Prince Tournament poly. I prestretch the syn gut and don't notice any tension loss with the poly. The mains are like a built in fuse and break before the poly crosses go dead. Mains snap back into place nicely.

Do this combination with a good multi. It's even better. I once did NRG2 / Turbotwist. Too much power for me, but might be great for someone else :)

I've played a bit over the last year with both the Babolat syn-hurricane hybrids, Xcel/PHT Tour (Multi/Poly) and N.Vy/Pro Hurricane (Syn/Poly) and liked the way both played with the poly in the crosses. The multi hybrid might have felt a bit more comfortable and more powerful, but I have serious reservations recommending it because the PHT Tour would saw through the Xcel in a relatively short time (at least, short for me).

I tried the VS Gut/PHT Tour combo for an little less than twice the price -- it felt noticeably better than the Xcel hybrid and lasted longer than the last 3 string jobs which had multi.

All worth trying though.
