2014 and I still haven't pulled the trigger.
I'm interested to know if it is still able to be described as a current-day easier-to-swing PT630?
Still using the 315 but have been flirting with other frames of late. Problem is everything is now judged against the tfight and nothing has stacked up yet. Very addicting plush feel that is not easy to replicate.
Maxxply I noticed you are from Australia too. Just thought I would let you know that I made an enquiry with Tec in Aus whether this frame was going to come into Aus and the answer was no. I had a sponsorship at the time and there was still no way of getting them.
I am switching back and forth between the 315 ltd (more control) and the tfight 320 (more power) depending on whether I need power or control that day. Planning on picking one soon and just sticking with it.
Switched back to my 57As. The TF is a nice frame, but it doesn't have the same feel as the 57...

Nothing does and I keep coming back to them!
The reason I ask is because I have been tinkering with mine (18M) since November with varying degrees of success. I have yet to reach a setup that really wows me. Overall though, I find the frame very plush and comfortable though.
I set mine up the same way I have my 57's, I extend it to 27.5" and strung is 352g at 32cm balance. Never tried other set ups, but the TF had too much power and not quite as soft feel...

It's a plush racquet. Try it. It's tecnifibres pro stock racquet. Verdasco used it for years.
I nailed my optimal setup pretty fast - 4-5 grams at 12 and done.
I have gone back to 330 weighted sticks and was able to try and drop the tfight down to match. Unfortunately it just does not play the same at this weight - it really is best as a 12 ounce racquet for me.
But I used the same setup on mine for 7 months. no real tinkering needed.
Right, so you stopped tinkering but went back to 57's![]()
Thoughts about whether the 315 is a true 98 head size? I feel like plays (and looks) smaller? The head shape seems smaller/narrower than other 98s like the radical.
Are these similar to the Dunlop 4D 300 Tours? My Dunlops are starting to get worn down and am looking for similar playing frames. Thanks!
I tried the TF315 Ltd 18x20 but I think it is too muted to my taste.
Though it is a comfortable and vibration free frame I miss some of that crisp connected feel of my Head IG Prestige MP.
I experienced the same with Pro Kennex Redondo MP that has a low 57 RA flex as well. I hardly felt the ball when I hit into the sweet area with this racquet. Even without a dampener.
I guess I prefer a bit stiffer frames with a 60-63 RA flex that have a more connected and crisper feel.
What kind of string did you use on the TF315?
Solinco Tour Bite 19.
Can anyone compare the 16x19 models of the Tfight 315 and the Tfight 320? Any major differences? 5 grams isnt much diff in weight.
I hit both back to back for a few sessions and flex is definitely the largest difference. With the 320, the ball tends to explode off the string bed. The sweet spot is also larger and the power and spin is far greater.
At the end of the day I went with the 315, due to the flex and feel. Lead tape has bridged the gap on stability and lower tension has almost brought the power level to that of the 320. TB19 has helped increased the level of spin.
