T Fight 315?

Price tag starts at 169, very fair for a brand new racket. No leather grip this time around, but it has the slightly extended bumper like some older Tec's have. Pretty much the same paint as the other new DC rackets.

Interesting that Tec's pro stock quality frame is cheaper than their other frames but Wilson jacks theirs all the way up to 249

67RA? No thanks Jeff...
So yeah, go figure...

I trust tw measurements more so that’s good for us liking flexier frames. Anyone know if racquet finder is usually strung or unstrung specs? If that’s 62 unstrung then even better!

There was someone here who I think bought out the world remaining supply of the previous 315 version. I think he bought a dozen of them. Will you do a comparison between this and the 61RA Srixon?

Thats @JohnPittsburgh but looks like his ID has been de-activated and he hasn't posted in a while.

Got my 2 new ones strung today! Got one with the Solinco Hyper G and one with Black Code! Gonna see what I like best!

Did you get it elsewhere from TW? If TW just put theirs up today there's no way you could have gotten it on the same day in St. Louis. Do you have the previous model? Let us know what the differences are. It looks like Tec upped the RA by a few points which immediately makes the older version more valuable. :D

Sorry, my 2 new rackets are the 2013 model.

I'm a little confused.. Have they re-released the 2013 315ltd with new pj?

The layup has changed the mold and grommets are the same with new paint job and synthetic grip.

EDIT: I don't know if the pallet if the same, has the TK82S, or is molded now. But I'm going to find out when I get mine as the first thing I'm going to do is replace the grip.

Your (Youtek) Prestige (Pro) had a stiffness of 66

I prefer the old mids and only FP out of the MPs. Now indulging with Angell 95 18x20 which seems to be under 60 strung. Still, flex alone is not essential as I didn't like Khamzin or Wilson Bold. Flexpoint MP gives the best thud so far. TF 16M Ltd is very far from it - too much vibrations and not as comfortable as expected.

I love that thud sound. I think the main reason pros don't use string damps is because their pro stock frame's layup is of such high quality that string dampeners just aren't needed. The ones that do use one probably do it out of habit or superstition than to reduce pinging sounds.

What retail frames available now or recently have that kind of quality and can make a thud sound when the ball is struck? I can only get that thud sound with my racquet when I use a lot of lead which makes hiring the ball like a truck hitting a something cross its path.

The FXP PMP is a magic stick in terms of feel.

One of my 16m is strung with Black Code at 52 mains and 51 crosses (on advise from JohnBPittsburgh) It does play pretty nice at that tension.

I was hitting some of my best forehands ever today! Love it

That's awesome! I'm going to give the Tecs one more chance, but with Volkl Cyclone 18g @ 48lbs in the mains and Ashaway ZX Pro 17g @ 50lbs in the crosses. I got a used GrapheneXT Prestige Pro with that string setup in it, and it hit awesome! So I figured I would throw it in the other 16M I have, and see which racquets I will keep.

This racquet really interested me to due to the low flex and lower swing weight along with the headlight balance. I have been playing with the Blade 98 2015 16 x 19 for last few months. While I liked the Blade, I found it too head heavy and very sluggish on the serve.

This Tec racquet has customization written all over it. For me it would not take much, maybe 2-3 grams at 3 and 9 or 2 and 10 along with a 2-3 grams on the butt of the handle. With this modification, I am still under 12 ounces along with a manageable swing weight for my shoulder. I don't play with poly any longer and just ordered 1 with Gosen Micro 16 at 56lbs. I am 4.5 player that has been playing for almost 30 years and has had shoulder problems over the last few years.

I am really looking forward to playing with this racquet that appears to be very unique these days if you factor the low flex and room for customization.

I believe that this may be the holy grail racquet that I have been looking for a long time. I did not try the 2013 version but heard it was very flexible racquet that was soft and buttery with a lot of room for customization.

Kudos to Technifibre for bringing back such a classic frame for players with arm problems!

It doesn't need much lead, your setup is similar to mine. I would suggest gut poly in low 50ies.

That's what I thought. I gave up playing with poly a couple years ago as I want to stay injury free. I only use a basic synthetic string these days.

Looking forward to comparing the Tec 315 LTD 16 to the Wilson Blade 98 16 x 19 2015 version.

I have been doing so good on racquet buying abstinence since not frequenting Talk Tennis :) I better log off now before I end up with a new toy on its way to my house :P Someone get one of these and post up some racquet porn to try and fend off my racquet cravings....
I got one on the way now but it's a 1/4" grip. I'll be out of town for a week but when I get back the first thing I'm going to do is replace the pallet with a 1/2" one. I'll let you know how it goes. Welcome back.

So true, these forums are such a bad influence.. I love the 315ltd and have managed to not to make a change in the last 4yrs..but I start reading TT and I start to think there's something better out there..

I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread for you help over the last few months. Unfortunately, I've fallen in love with another racquet. I am now ditching my 16Ms, and moving in with my GXT Prestige Pros. It all started when I was on the rebound from a rough relationship with the APD 2013. I thought we were soul mates, but then she turned on me. After years of great play, she gave me the TE. I thought I was ready for a cushy, more stable relationship, and landed on the Tec. She was very demanding, and took a lot of changing, from both of us. She was a little skinny for my taste, so I had to put some weight on her. I was so happy that I even invested in 4 extra grommet sets! Things were going great, then a new racquet showed up. Turns out I prefer the younger flashier type after all. She still makes me work for it, but it took zero changing to her frame for me to love how she feels. I feel kind of bad, because the reason I like the GXT Prestige Pros is; because of my focus on form, that the Tec made me go through, just to make it work with her.

@JoshTheLMT

Love the clever use of metaphors. Did a racquet with a 59RA really give you tennis elbow? It had both heft and flex. Was it such a demanding frame that it caused you to overhit and that's what caused TE? It is a demanding pro-stock like frame after all.

@ Tommy Haas

No, the Babolat APD I had before the Tec. The Tec helped in my recovery, as it had mass and flex, and made me focus on proper form.
