T Fight 315?

I have been using the 2021 VCORE 95s for the past few years until I recently got back to my hometown and hit with my old black and red tfight 315 ltd (16x19), and i am still amazed by this racquet. After a few adjustments to my swings, this racquet is just amazing. Also borrowed a friends Vcore pro 97H that was pretty nice as well. Was wondering what are you guys using now? I wonder whether it's possible to even make this my main racquet or change to something similar.
I had one of the 2013 18M ones, which I regrettably tried to sell. Got damaged in transit, so came back to me, cracked. Tried the bakin soda / super glue method but did not hold up, unfortunately. Been looking for one of these at a reasonable cost ever since …

play the PT 280/630 now, which is presumably what this is based on.

What's a "reasonable cost" for a new in-plastic racquet?

Hey! The hype might be gone on this racquet, and I might be coming here a little late, but I have been looking for a tfight 315 ltd to buy for a little while now, anyone here looking to get rid of one?

Feel free to send me a PM if so!

Hey guys! Reviving this old thread. For some reason, my racquet journey is bringing me back to tecnifibre, racquets I used to play with 15years ago as a junior. Looking to make a switch to the Tfight limited and I am wondering on the best string pattern to go for.
I am around a UTR 9 player (I guess 5) and mainly playing with closed pattern (currently using Head Auxetic Prestige pro and G360+ Prestige MP 98inch 18x20 racquets). Previously using Pure Strike 18x20.
I am wondering if the obvious option of going for the 18M frame is actually the obvious answer too, or if the 16x19, offering I assume a little more pop and spin, in a smaller headsize frame, would make sens? Especially in today's game where everything is a little more demanding. I do play competitive and would want to use that frame in matches. I am an aggressive player who likes to dictate the points.

Do you have any recommendation for me? Are any of you still using this frame? If not, what is the reason? I am also getting a Angell K7 lime and an Angell TC95 18x20 that I will try during summer before deciding which to make my main frame for the season.

Can't wait to hear from you and your experience!
Thanks!

@mattprot

I haven't hit with my tFight LTD 315 16 or 18 for a while but I felt the 18 hits like a tank. The 16 needed some lead to feel stable like the 18 but it was still great. Also keep in mind this is discontinued and finding grommets is going to be an issue.

I would suggest looking into the tf40. For me it sits nicely next to some other 18m racquets I have...Prestige MP, UltraTour, 97D. I did a little work on it, lead/leather but it plays a bit more forgiving than the others listed but very familiar to those other racquets.

Thanks for the input. Actually purchasing a 16M and 18M in decent conditions with extra grommets now. Will try both, but not sure where my mind goes to.
I did played for the last 6 months with Prestige MP and bought a 97D, but I am not sure. I like it, play well with it, but kind of want something with a little more feel. Maybe just a strings switch from kind of stiff polys to multi or gut could do the trick for extra comfort in those dense pattern frame..
But I have been eyeing at the PT57A for so long, and I feel like I can't convince myself to use any other sticks until I try something softer, plusher, a little more old school. And I felt like the Tfight 315 limited was a good option for that.
Is the TF40 much stiffer?
Ultra Tour is definitely something I might have to try too before making the final call on what racquet to use.
Appreciate your feedback anyhow!
On your personal side @djNEiGht, why did you move on? just looking for something with bigger headsize?

TF40 stiffness is noticeable but once I found the tension/string combo it was really nice. UT pattern is very dense but I still enjoy playing with it and when I'm dialed...I don't overhit with the UT and just lay into the shot.

I didn't necessarily move on...I have a racquet collection issue. I still have the tFights :)

fair enough :D that is one way to do it! Trying to get rid of some of mine to get rid of the tentation for switching to often.. it's like a box of chocolate.. if it's somewhere in the house, it will be eaten!

I have some 6.1 95, prestige pro, vcore pro 97d, even some pro staff 85 original, and there are all great racquets in their own ways! but I am just too weak to resist the urge of hitting with them if they are around!

I will try demoing a TF40 then, you made me curious, thanks :)

Hey Guys! Really enjoying my time with the Tfight 315 Ltd 18M so far. Though it came already customized with lead under the bumpguard(and a lot of it) making the racquet so plush and stable but the SW also very high. Its 356g/32.6cm balance strung, around 348SW.

I'd like to reduce that a bit unfortunately grommets are quite used and I am not quite sure how to remove some lead without damaging to head guard.

Anyone has any ideas and/or some spare grommets for the 18M Tfight?

I appreciate the help! Thanks!

yes @Irvin! As I said, I am looking for some spare grommets for the 18M. But they are not that easy to find, especially in Europe.

Was just wondering if anyone had an other temporary solution I would not have thought about!

I guess one would be to just get used to the current specs :)

@mattprot you can easily get the lead out with the string out but not as easy getting it back in. If you find you took too much out you can place lead inside the hoop or use head protection tape to increase SW.

I've been playing with one of these for a few weeks and really enjoying it, so I found another at a used sporting goods place and bought it as a backup. Turns out it was a test racket for Francis Tiafoe back in the day. It had a bit of lead under the grommets, and when I replaced the grip I discovered the bottom half of the pallets were slightly shaved down from their 4 3/8 size. Must've been a custom request of his.

Damn that is a really nice spec too. I may mod mine to match that, because mine has a crazy SW and balance right now. Awesome find, thanks for sharing.

Before you run and mod your racquets....don't forget Tiafoe was only 15 years old in 2013 (and won the Orange Bowl)

Speaking for myself I just think those are great specs. He could be 15 or 50, that setup is right where I personally like it. I have been thinking of modding my tfight for a while, this just kind of sparked me to do it.

Anyone played these vs the current TF40 line and thoughts on how the two play? Looking at the 18x20 DC limited model but have been using the TF40 18x20 lately with very few issues. Just something keeps calling me to try these limited

Does anyone know if there is a current version of the T-Fight 315 Ltd XTC 16M? The model with the Box Section frame.

Recent found one and would really like to find a pair for it.

Can't comment on the current TF40 but...

TF40 305 v1 vs 18/20 DC Ltd

on the racquets that I have and their stock specs...TF40 was better for me to play right out of the box. I ended up adding leather, touch of silicone, and some lead on hoop just to match specs to my other TF40. The DC Ltd felt softer/flexier though and in stock form I wanted leather and then a little lead on hoop to fine tune. I was messing with the specs on the DC Ltd and didn't really get it dialed in...but I liked it enough to keep one. I traded the other one off.

I tried to get the DC Ltd close to what my Wilson UT was modified to as the UT set up was one of my favorites.

Interesting. I just picked up 3 at at crazy price so definitely want to test them soon

I think the DC Ltd are great...but overall i've had to do some mods to get it to work. A few others here have mentioned that as well. But still such a great frame. Are the ones you got with the EZ Lock tie offs?

Not sure I’m waiting for them to arrive but this is a pic

those don't look like the EZLock versions. I have that one in the picture. hopefully the specs are something you can work with. Great feeling frame. Great looking frame. I changed the pallets out to the TK82s shape. Fairly tight pattern and I think more so than the tf40. a nice sharp 125 or thinner main with a slipper cross will give you some decent spin on that 18m stick.

I've since switched away after realizing I play best with PD's but those TFight 315 Ltd 16 Mains were amazing, too bad they stopped making them. I still have 1 2013, 2 of the DC and one XTC.
