Taking the winter off...

I've played in the freezing flippin cold in Montreal....for many years, back in the day.

Now, in Miami, our summer is like your winter. Easy to get a court....but now things are cooling down and it's gettin crowded!!

Love to play in the cold way more than our summer heat....

Wow!
I am currently in Ft. Lauderdale and would love to take this climate with me back to Germany.
There's nothing I love more than the heat!
I was a decent roadbike racer 'til my end thirties, and always enjoyed it most when the concrete on the road almost melted in the heat. Same with tennis. When you're boiling on court, that's it. Makes me feel so good, even better when I see the opponent really suffering.

i think that like many others, we are just spoiled by our generally great weather.

I just have to tough out the sun, warm water, not having to wear socks or long pants all year, etc...it's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it !!

Reminds me of Fed, coasting during matches played in hot weather.
I could duke it out in the cold, however I look for courts shade anytime I play when the sun's beating down.
