Talent/Skill Paths

-NN-

G.O.A.T.
Realised talent/skill manifests itself in different ways and at different rates.

I bring this up when thinking about Jimmy Butler's NBA career to date.

Generally, the legends of sports have tended to blossom early relative to their peers.

I'm too lazy to say anything else... just thought I'd post this here rather than GPPD or Odds & Ends.

Mike Korzemba's knowledge of basketball is fierce, BTW. That guy is just brilliant. He also produces many videos based on fantastical supposition but always makes them fascinating and is thorough with his argumentation. His next video will be on how he thinks Larry Bird and Magic Johnson (Or it might be Michael Jordan, forgetting who he stated now) would do in the NBA today.

What sports do you guys like?

I like: Boxing, Formula 1, NBA Basketball, Chess, Tennis, Snooker, Athletics, Badminton, Squash, Cricket, Rugby and Esports such as Dota and Starcraft. I've recently taken a strong interest in the NFL.

Baseball, NFL, chess, Tennis, Video Fighting Games, NHL, NBA, Air Hockey. I used to like boxing but decided I'm not that crazy about the violence anymore. That same disgust doesn't translate to the NFL.

Of course chess/boxing is violence and thinking at the same time. LOL.

NN, of all these sports that you like, which one are you best at?

Yeah, chess is too violent. I threw up just looking at the video because of the violence playing chess. It was too bloody moving the pieces.

By the way I added an Air Hockey video.

I reached county level in basketball (not saying much in England), cricket and badminton, where I could hold my own against weaker national squad players. Almost reached a Nationals in chess in a kids category (again not saying much in England), did reach it in athletics (shot - no medal). Was one of the best players in Europe at one game and the world in another, both obscure; Chu Chu Rocket and Dream Match Tennis. Funny aside, always used to arm wrestle - never lost in my schools/college or against throwers at track meets after about 14 years of age. Favourite sport to play: badminton.

Further, I've played a lot of most sports but never tried boxing other than the non-sparring training.. which is brutal. I actually grew up thinking about being a boxer a lot, but never bothered.
